«Breaking News» Fortnite gamer allegedly live-streamed the moment he bashed his girlfriend

A Fortnite gamer who was the poster boy for a global tech company has been arrested after allegedly live-streaming the moment he bashed his pregnant girlfriend.

Luke Munday, 26, was described as a 'hard-working family man' by tech giant Cisco after landing a top job at Telstra following success with their networking academy.

In an interview last year, the tech genius said he was determined to create financial security for his young family after his father walked out on him at the age of two.

'When my partner fell pregnant with our first child, a lot changes and your responsibilities go through the roof,' he said.

'I had that philosophy I wouldn't let that happen to my own kids.'

But on Sunday night, police stormed an Oran Park home in Sydney's west and charged Munday with assaulting his pregnant de facto partner.

Two girls aged three and 20 months were inside the home at the time.

Police allege Munday, who goes by the name 'MrDeadMoth' on streaming site Twitch, inadvertently captured the alleged attack against his girlfriend.

Footage uploaded to Twitter begins with Munday playing the game Fortnite, an addictive multiplayer first-person shooter game.

'Go away... I'll be out soon, why can't you take that as an answer?' Munday can be seen shouting as his girlfriend begs for him to leave the computer.

The argument continues until Munday storms out of view of the camera and allegedly attacks his partner.

'Do they know you touched me and I'm pregnant,' she can be heard calling out in the video, which is being streamed to dozens of other gamers.

'I hope all of you people know that I'm pregnant and he just bashed me.'

The pair continue to argue until Munday allegedly snaps again, screaming: 'F*** off you dog, you don't pay the bills.'

Munday, who reportedly regularly plays Fortnite for eight hours a day, was taken to Narellan Police station and charged with assault at 11.30pm on Sunday, hours after his stream went viral on Twitter.

He was granted conditional bail and will appear in Camden Local Court on Thursday.

Police also took out an interim apprehended violence order (AVO) for his girlfriend, who was described as shaken and distressed but not seriously injured.

Telstra confirmed they had stood Munday down from his job as a network engineer while police carry out the investigation.

In a statement supplied to the Daily Telegraph, Telstra General Media Manager Steve Carey condemned domestic violence.

'This behaviour goes against what we stand for as an organisation and the work we have done to assist women impacted by domestic violence,' Mr Carey said.

'We have suspended Luke's employment pending a full investigation and will co-operate with any police investigation.

'Domestic violence has no place in our community. It is totally unacceptable and needs to be eradicated.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
