A cancer-stricken grandfather who was unhappy with his body image following a mastectomy on one breast, tried to cut off his other breast as he felt he looked 'lopsided'.
Peter Bagnall found a lump under his nipple in 2013, which was later confirmed as breast cancer.
After having a mastectomy to remove the cancer, the 56-year-old said he felt 'lopsided', and attempted to cut off his other breast with a kitchen knife. As a result he was 'house- sectioned' - meaning he had to stay at home for two weeks while he was monitored by mental health services.
Eventually, Mr Bagnall, from Birmingham had a second mastectomy, as well as having 'nipples' tattooed on his chest - which he says has made a huge difference.

His wife Lorraine (pictured left with Mr Bagnall and right) also had breast cancer in 2002
Only 390 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK, while 55,000 women are diagnosed with the disease.
Mr Bagnall's wife Lorraine was also diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 - and died last year aged 57 after being diagnosed with bone cancer.
The couple had nine children between them aged 19 to 39 and 13 grandchildren.
Mr Bagnall, a parts quality inspector for Land Rover, said: 'In March, 2013, I just noticed a lump in my breast.
'I didn't know why, but I thought 'that's a bit strange. I left it - but it kept growing and started to change shape.
'Lorraine made me go to the doctors. The doctor sent me to the breast cancer team, and they did an ultrasound, then a biopsy. It was breast cancer. I did not know anything about it.'

Peter Bagnall (pictured above) said he had never considered nipple tattoos before the nurses had suggested it

After the nipple tattoos he says he has his confidence back and has started swimming again

Mr Bagnall (above) said he had felt terrible looking in the mirror following the procedure
Despite attending his hospital appointments, Mr Bagnall said that even this became difficult due to the amount of emphasis the wards have on female patients.
'When you go to the hospital's ultrasound area, it says 'females only' - not 'patients only'. I have tried to get that changed. It's a female pamphlet - everything is female.
'I just wanted to hide away from it. It was embarrassing to tell people - I felt like I wasn't a man. I called it 'breasticular cancer' just to put a male side on it.'

Peter Bagnall (pictured above) tried to cut off his other breast six months after his initial surgery
Mr Bagnall said he didn't have to have chemotherapy but highlighted that he felt he wasn't coping with the diagnoses.
'I just needed Tamoxifen - an oestrogen-controlling drug. But I had a masectomy - they took the left breast off.
'From then on, I just felt lopsided. I started to get a body image problem. I asked the breast cancer team if they would take the other one off too, but I was offered nothing. '

Eventually, Mr Bagnall said it got to the point where he attempted to cut the other breast off with a carving knife and a Stanley knife.
'It was 2am in the morning - I was in a dark place. I went downstairs to do it, but luckily Lorraine woke up.
'I was taken to hospital and then referred to the mental health team. It was quite a deep cut - I had meant to cut it off, but Lorraine stopped me. I had to have six stitches.

He said he was 'desperate to get balance again', and that once he had attempted to cut off his breat the mental health team took over and had a practitioner visit him every day.
'The psychiatrist pushed the breast cancer team to take the other breast off. In 2014, a year after the first masectomy, they took the right breast off.
'It was purely cosmetic, but it was a massive thing to me. I thought people were staring, even though they weren't.

Lorraine (left and right) died in 2017 and had first been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002
'It had become such an issue that I couldn't take my top off, couldn't go to work.'
After a five-year check-up earlier this year nurses asked Mr Bagall if he wanted nipple tattoos, which he says he had 'never thought about' but since having the tattoos he said he had a lot more confidence.
'I can go swimming again. I love swimming, but I did not go for four years.

'Breast cancer is rare in men but there are still more than 300 lives affected by it each year. You can't compare where I am now with my worst times.
'I have come to terms with it. I am easy with it. I can quite easily say 'I have got breast cancer'.
'A higher percentage of men with breast cancer die compared to females, because men don't check. I want to get the message out there that men can get it.'

Lorraine (left and right) had a full mastectomy and chemotherapy
Mr Bagall said his wife Lorraine was first diagnosed with cancer in 2002 and had a full mastectomy, followed by chemotherapy, due to the severity of the disease.
'She ended up with lymphoma. In 2015, she had severe back pain. On Mother's Day, 2016, I got her an ambulance because it was so bad.
'The doctors found it was bone cancer of the back. It was terminal. She had chemotherapy.

Peter and Lorraine (left) had nine children toegther. Peter (right) said the couple had some wonderful times
'We lived the best final 18 months we could have possibly lived. We travelled all over Europe and had some wonderful times.'
Mr Bagall said they had just returned from a trip to the French Alps when she became unwell and had to go into hospital.
'They gave her another dose of chemotherapy, so we had another two months. She was so brave and inspirational.

Peter (left and right) said he would do anything for one last hug with his wife Lorraine
'Eventually, they found her kidneys were failing. She died on November 20, 2017.
'It has been so traumatic for the family. It has been a hell of a time.
'If someone offered me all the wealth in the world, or one last hug [with Lorraine], I would take the hug.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
