Donald Trump's lawyers are headed to court to demand porn star Stormy Daniels to pay them hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal bills after her failed defamation lawsuit against the president.
The attorneys will appear in a Los Angeles federal courtroom on Monday to demand $340,000 in legal bills they say accrued fighting Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti's gamesmanship and aggressive tactics.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, alleges she had a one-night affair with Trump in 2006, which the president has vehemently denied.

The legal dispute began when she sued Trump earlier this year seeking to break a non-disclosure agreement she signed days before the 2016 election about the tryst as part $130,000 hush money settlement. The very public case has led to the scrutiny of Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen and Trump's presidential election campaign.
Daniels claimed that she spoke out publicly on the affair and was then threatened to keep quiet by a man she didn't recognize in a Las Vegas parking lot about five years after the affair.
She sued Trump for defamation after he responded to the allegation by tweeting: 'A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools (but they know it)!'
Avenatti dismissed the fees as 'staggering and grossly inflated' and that they should not exceed $25,000
Trump's lead attorney says that Avanetti and Daniels have engaged in massive national publicity in defamation case. Daniels even named her strip tour Make America Horny Again, a play on Trump's political slogan, pictured above on tour in Pompano Beach, Florida
In October U.S. District Court Judge S. James Otero ruled Trump's statement was 'rhetorical hyperbole' against a political adversary and was protected speech under the First Amendment.
He also said that Trump is entitled to legal fees.
Now Trump's lawyers are trying to cash in saying they've accounted for more than 500 hours of work at rates as high as $840 an hour.
Avenatti dismissed the fees as 'staggering and grossly inflated' and that they should not exceed $25,000.
But Trump's lead attorney insists that the fees and unspecified monetary sanctions were earned because of the extraordinary nature of the case.
'This action is virtually unprecedented in American legal history,' attorney Charles Harder wrote.
Daniels 'not only brought a meritless claim for defamation against the sitting president of the United States, but she also has engaged, along with her attorney, in massive national publicity.'
He said she appeared on national TV, penned a book entitled Full Disclosure and went on a live strip club tour dubbed 'Make America Horny Again' - a riff on Trump's 'Make America Great Again' slogan.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
