«Breaking News» Tamara Ecclestone 'spends £50k on Christmas' at her £70m London home

Every Christmas, Formula One heiress Tamara Ecclestone pulls out all the stops, decorating her £70million London home with a different festive theme.

This year it's The Snowman - and the brunette, 34, has spent an estimated £50k so far on the festivities.

Tamara - who lives with husband Jay Rutland, 37, and daughter Sofia, four - has invested this year in over £5k to decorate both inside and outside the property, as well as £500 on an advent calendar.

The latter is a custom-built wooden structure, for Sofia, with a gift behind each door for the spoiled tot.

Tamara has also invested in a £4k 'magic mirror photo booth' according to The Mirror.

On Saturday, the heiress also threw a party especially for Sofia, for which she invited 50 guests. This cost an estimated £3k, on top of a hire fee at a swish hotel for £1k.

Sofia and pals were treated to a visit from reindeer, an owl and Father Christmas.

Christmas also features several jaunts abroad, as Tamara will take Sofia to Lapland - a trip costing around £14k - and they are spending £20k on first class flights to Los Angeles, where Tamara’s sister Petra, 29, lives with her family in a £148million Bel Air mansion.

The family alternate between LA and Switzerland each year - the latter being where £2.5b tycoon father Bernie, 88, lives.

Speaking to The Mirror, Tamara said: 'Because I’m in LA this year we put the decorations up extra early, in mid-November. Last year we did the Nutcracker theme, this year it’s The Snowman.

'Professionals do the outside but we do have a tree in the house which Jay, Fifi and I put up together. It’s the least perfect decoration but it is the most fun to put up.

This year's look features a giant silver front door wreath, unicorns, deer, polar bears, snowmen, penguins and stockings by the chimney.

This comes after Tamara hit Sloane Street this week to do some Christmas shopping - seen buying from Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Hermes on Thursday.

Shooting scenes for a German TV show, the mum-of-one ended her very extravagant shopping trip with six huge designer bags containing goodies for the holidays.

Last year's décor featured a giant life-sized sleigh, put up outside her sprawling Kensington mansion. They also spent £20,000 on having snow imported to the opulent home to ensure the Ecclestone clan had a white Christmas.

A huge Christmas tree adorned with festive red and green baubles was put up beside the porch complete with a realistic pile of brightly-coloured presents.

Two statue reindeer were then positioned on each side of the driveway, playfully dressed in Santa costumes, while a stunning red and white wreath graced the front door itself.

The porch was then lined with more festive pine, decorated with glittering gingerbread men and candy canes, in seasonal finishing touches.

The heiress is known for her elaborate decorations - having decked her house out with pumpkins, bats, cobwebs and skeletons for Halloween.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
