«Breaking News» Strictly Come Dancing fans brand final a 'fix'

Strictly Come Dancing fans have claimed Stacey Dooley’s win was a fix after This Morning pre-scheduled her for a slot on their show next week - the day before she was crowned Queen of the ballroom.

Eagle-eyed viewers noticed the ITV show’s schedule on Friday already revealed that the 31-year-old documentary maker and her dance partner Kevin Clifton, 36, would be on the programme chatting with Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langsford on Monday.

Fans were keen to share their concerns on Twitter, with some questioning whether This Morning’s announcement meant the champion was already decided before the live final.

One fumed: ‘What is the deal with having Stacey & Kevin on This Morning next Monday? Doesn’t that just spoil the fact that they’re going to win! I think this must mean strictly is fixed.’

Another added at the time: ‘So Stacey is on This Morning on Monday ... has she already won?’

A third commented: ‘Congrats to Stacey. We all found out yesterday when she got booked for This Morning on Monday but it was still worth the try fellow Suggers. #teamJoanne #strictlyfinal #StrictlyComeDancing2018.’

While one social media user continued: ‘Strange but interesting THIS morning had announced Stacey Dooley would be on their show on Monday....they must have a crystal ball any chance on a heads up for the lotto numbers #StrictlyComeDancing2018.’

Another wrote: ‘So Stacey and Kevin are booked in for this morning on Monday... I swear to god if they win tomorrow it's definitely a fix and has already been decided.’

Yet not everyone was so suspicious, with other viewers suggesting it was just the pairs turn to be interviewed on the set, with Joe Sugg and his partner Dianne Buswell chatting to the show earlier this week.

Another said: ‘Come on y’all don’t be stupid. Stacey and Kev on this morning means nothing like Joe was on it last monday. Chill.’

A spokesperson for Strictly said: 'There is no fix. Stacey and Kevin were booked on This Morning for Monday whether they won or not.'

Stacey took home the coveted Glitterball Trophy with partner Kevin on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing final.

Speaking about her win to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Stacey said: 'I should say something quite poignant, shouldn't I? You know how highly I think of you. I think you are the biggest gem.

'It's no surprise you have been in the final as many times as you have. It's daunting doing something you haven't done before. But he's so patient and he walks you through. You so deserve this. You so deserve this.'

Through his tears Kevin had similarly kind words for Stacey, as he added: 'Thank you so much. Not just for being so amazing and dancing so well and getting this, but just for being the most wonderful person to work with, to spend every day in training with.

'You’ve worked so hard, and always with a massive smile on your face. You’re just so lovely, and I think the absolute world of you, thank you so much.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
