The Strictly Come Dancing final topped last year's viewing figures by 100,000 as 11.7 million tuned in to watch Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton lift the Glitterball.
The dancing duo, who were the bookies favourite to win the show, managed to bag the title following a rocky final, where they failed to impress judge Craig Revel Horwood.
Fans clearly disagreed with Craig's comments as they switched on in their millions to see the BBC broadcaster perform a sensational Show Dance, a raunchy Paso Doble, and a fantastic Foxtrot.

However their performances, along with stunning displays from Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice, Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev and Joe Sugg and Dianne Buswell weren't enough to top Joanne Clifton's 2016 win.
Joanne and Ore Oduba pulled in an average of 11.8 million viewers, while 11.6 million fans tuned in to see Katya Jones and Joe McFadden crowned as the champions.
According to the overnight viewing figures they peaked at 12.7million and averaged at 11.7 million, making it he most-watched episode of the series, reports the Sun.

The semi-final the week before, where AJ Pritchard and Lauren Steadman were voted off, received 1.7 million less viewers than the final.
These initial figures are yet to include the amount of people that chose to catch up on the BBC's on demand service, so it could end up being more watched than the 2016 final after all.

Speaking about her win to hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, Stacey said: 'I should say something quite poignant, shouldn't I? You know how highly I think of you. I think you are the biggest gem.
'It's no surprise you have been in the final as many times as you have. It's daunting doing something you haven't done before. But he's so patient and he walks you through. You so deserve this. You so deserve this.'
Through his tears Kevin had similarly kind words for Stacey, as he added: 'Thank you so much. Not just for being so amazing and dancing so well and getting this, but just for being the most wonderful person to work with, to spend every day in training with.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
