«Breaking News» Sophie Wessex and Prince Edward visit a Sikh Gurdwara in London

Sophie Wessex got hands on in the kitchen today as she helped to make chapatis at a Gurdwara in London.

The Earl and the Countess of Wessex paid a visit to the Southall Sikh place of worship, the Sri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara together on Thursday.

Both Prince Edward and Sophie could be seen wearing headscarves and removed their shoes for the occasion as a mark of respect to the Sikh religion.

Sophie, 53, looked typically elegant in a pale blue dress for her engagement today which she had paired perfectly with her headscarf.

An unexpected accessory came in the form of an iWatch that could be seen peeking out from the sleeve of her dress.

The Apple product retails at £399 and acts as a communication, health and fitness tracker.

Sophie joins the ranks of royals investing in smart accessories with Prince Harry recently debuting a state-of-the-art titanium sleep and activity tracker from Finland-based company Oura Health.

Meanwhile Edward, 54, was suitably dapper in a pin stripe suit coordinating his scarlet tie and pocket square to his headscarf.

The couple appeared to be in good spirits as they took a tour of the historic Gurdwara this morning.

The mother-of-two later joined others in the kitchen to help prepare chapatis ahead of lunch.

Despite not having an apron to hand Sophie was able to keep her pale dress pristine throughout the process.

The Sri Guru Singh Sabha Southall (SGSSS) is the largest Gurdwara organisation outside of India, established in 1950s.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the Countess of Wessex have got a lot in common.

Not only do they both love Emilia Wickstead, they also like to refashion dresses for different events and engagements.

Sophie repeated an Emilia Wickstead midi today that we have previously spotted her wearing to Royal Ascot (pictured, right). We love the aqua blue hue and flattering fit and flare shape of this dress. The elegant simplicity is typical of the Emilia Wickstead aesthetic, so and although this exact style isn't available, you can buy something similar now at MATCHESFASHION.COM.

Gurdwara, pronounced ‘Gur-Dwa- raa’ means the ‘Guru’s Door’ or ‘through the Guru’. Sikhs come here to learn how to live a spiritual and moral life and earn Guru’s blessings.

This particular Gurdwara already had royal links with Prince Charles inaugurating the site back in 2003.

Since then many dignitaries such as Former Prime Minister Rt Hon Tony Blair, Archbishop of Canterbury and the leaders of all the Political Parties have visited the Gurdwara.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
