«Breaking News» Robbie Williams ignores Led Zepplin legend Jimmy Page's olive branch after five-year row

After five tumultuous years, Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page has extended an olive branch to his London neighbour, singer-songwriter Robbie Williams.

The pair have been at loggerheads over Williams's building plans for his £17 million, 46-room mansion which have left Page fearing that his own residence, the Grade I-listed Tower House, would suffer collateral damage.

In what his fans may argue is the most remarkable peace overture since Nixon flew to China in 1972, rock legend Page has invited Williams in for a chat at Tower House, in a bid to solve their differences in a civilised manner.

But I fear that too much bad blood has flowed under the bridge.

Williams, who at one point in the saga apologised to Page after suggesting that the 74-year-old guitarist was 'mentally ill', has so far resisted replying.

Page's lawyers have now written a letter to Kensington and Chelsea council expressing their frustration: 'Our client has been endeavouring without success to arrange a meeting with [Robbie Williams] at the Tower House, followed by a meeting between the respective technical consultants, all with a view to seeking to agree or at least narrow the outstanding issues.'

Earlier this year, Williams, whose two previous planning applications had been refused after objections from Page, submitted a third, seeking permission to create a mammoth 1,544 sq ft iceberg basement with room for a gym and a 30ft swimming pool.

But this induced another protest from Page.

It seems possible that he will now only be treated to the sound of silence: Williams and his X Factor co-star wife Ayda, who three years ago bought a Los Angeles property equipped with 22 loos, are currently renting a £32 million, nine-bedroom house three miles away.

It is equipped with a stunning pool — perfect for their sons, Teddy, six, and Charlie, four, and, in due course, for their daughter, Coco, born two months ago.

A spokesman for Williams, 44, says that the singer-songwriter has no comment to make. Page, too, does not elaborate on his peace overture.

QUEEN OF SCOTS AND CO-STAR FALL HEAD OVER HEELS

They play onscreen lovers in new film Mary Queen Of Scots, and now actress Saoirse Ronan and her Scottish co-star Jack Lowden have embarked on a real life romance.

The 24-year-old Oscar-nominated Irish beauty, who plays the title role, seems to have been admired by Lowden, 28, who plays her husband Lord Darnley, from afar.

'She's lovely,' the Dunkirk and War And Peace star said before filming began. 'I can't wait to work with her. It's going to be fun.'

Off with his head!

After splitting from Donald Trump in 1990, his first wife Ivana embarked on a passionate affair with chemicals tycoon Ken Lieberman.

Now friends say she is deeply upset to learn of his death. 'People don't realise how much he meant to her,' says one pal. 'They had a lot of fun.'

The fun alas didn't last, as Ken parted from Ivana after a year to return to his wife, saying; 'I'm too old for her. There's 24 years' difference, and old men should be left with beautiful memories.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
