«Breaking News» Princess Eugenie shares rare off-duty snap of she and pal Ellie Goulding

Princess Eugenie joined the Instagram ranks in March this year, and has thus far stuck to sharing family snaps and the occasional selfie.

But on Saturday the Princess of York took to social media to pay tribute to her beloved friend Ellie Goulding.

Eugenie, 28, shared a rare snap of she and her showbiz pal with her 620,000 strong following yesterday.

In the off-duty photo, which Eugenie posted in black and white, the two friends appear to be out for dinner together and can be seen beaming at the camera.

Captioning the image the Princess of York gushed about her friend's charity work 

Captioning the picture, Eugenie gushed about her friend's charity work writing: 'Proud of @elliegoulding for all the work she does to raise money for @streetsofl Link in my bio for more information on this fantastic charity.'

The newly-wedded princess then shared a second image detailing Ellie's upcoming gig at the Streets of London concert where she will perform alongside Dua Lipa and Clean Bandit.

The concert, which takes place at Wembley arena on Thursday, is being held to raise money for the homeless charity.

The post has thus far amassed over 30,000 likes since it was shared yesterday evening. 

The Starry Eyed hitmaker, 31, has been good friends with Princess Eugenie for years, with the pair attending a string of nights out together and holidaying in Jordan earlier this year.

Ellie and her fiancé Caspar Jopling are said to have joined forces with Princess Eugenie and Jack on a number of double dates. 

Naturally the celebrity couple were guests at Eugenie and Jack's wedding in October.

Ellie herself is looking forward to getting married having got engaged to Caspar in August following an 18-month romance, and announced their intention to marry with an ad in The Times.

It read: 'Mr C.W.F. Jopling and Miss E.J. Goulding.

'The engagement is announced between Caspar, son of The Hon Nicholas Jopling of Yorkshire and Mrs Jayne Warde-Aldam of Yorkshire, and Elena, daughter of Mr Arthur Goulding of Hertfordshire and Mrs Tracey Sumner of West Midlands.'

Ellie and Team GB rower Caspar live together and split their time between New York and London.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
