«Breaking News» Police reveal missing Colorado mom left freshly baked cinnamon rolls in her kitchen

Nothing appeared out of order in Kelsey Berreth's home on Thanksgiving day before she vanished without a trace.

There were freshly baked cinnamon rolls in her kitchen that she had left out to cool. Her luggage and makeup were untouched. Her car was still in the driveway.

Only the 29-year-old Colorado mother's cell phone and purse were gone.

These are just some of the confusing details surrounding Kelsey's baffling case as police continue to struggle to find any answers - or even leads.

But no one has received more questions than Patrick Frazee, Kelsey's fiancee and the father of her one-year-old daughter Kaylee.

Frazee, 32, was the last person to see Kelsey after she dropped off Kaylee at his home just before she vanished.

Just before the drop-off, Kelsey was captured on surveillance footage at a Safeway supermarket a mile away from her home with Kaylee.

Three days later, on November 25, a text was sent from Kelsey's phone to the flight school work she worked as an instructor. The message said that she would be taking the next week off.

Frazee told police he also received a text from Kelsey's phone that day, although the details of the message have not been disclosed.

The last trace of Kelsey's phone was that same day, 800 miles from her home near Gooding, Idaho.

Kelsey was reported missing on December 2 by her mother Cheryl Berreth, who had been unable to reach her.

Cheryl had contacted Frazee, who said he hadn't heard from Kelsey since the November 25 text, according to the Daily Beast

Kelsey's mother told various news outlets that she had last spoken to her daughter twice on the phone on Thanksgiving morning. In one call, Kelsey asked for a recipe.

Cheryl told CBS News that Kelsey seemed 'happy' and that she didn't have plans for a 'big Thanksgiving meal at her home or anything like that'.

Frazee, who neighbors describe as a 'shy old-fashioned cowboy', has not been ruled out as a suspect in Kelsey's disappearance.

Police and FBI specialists conducted a two-day search of his sprawling and remote ranch in Florissant, Colorado on Friday and sent out a public plea asking him to sit down with them for an interview.

Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young said officers didn't find Kelsey during the search. No other details on what was found have been released.

De Young also made a public plea for Frazee to sit down with investigators for questioning and said he was only in contact via his lawyer - who claims he is cooperating.

'There have been numerous questions about whether Patrick is a suspect or a person of interest. At this point, we are considering every possibility,' De Young said during a press conference on Friday.

'I'm not willing to jump to conclusions or label people involved in this highly complex investigation.'

Police have since announced a reward of up to $25,000, which has been donated anonymously, for information that leads to Kelsey being found.

DailyMail.com can reveal Frazee lives with his mother Sheila, 64, on a family ranch where he makes a living by raising and selling cattle as well as horseshoeing.

The 6ft 3in farrier's 35-acre ranch includes a one-and-a-half story home and a 1,300 sq ft barn, according to Teller County records.

In Florissant, some told DailyMail.com that Frazee was a respected horse-handler who was a good father to baby Kaylee.

But Michell Guterl, 50, who has known Frazee since he was 16, said she refused to let him work on her horses because of how he handled them.

Guterl told DailyMail.com at a candlelit vigil for the missing woman: 'He was a farrier, we rodeoed together. He's a horseshoer, he roped at a lot of the rodeos that we went to. I used to see him all the time.'

'He worked on my horses for a real short time till he punched one in the gut with a rasp and that was about the last time I let him work on my horses.'

'[He did it] just because the horse won't stand still, it's kind of common, but horses are very sensitive, they can sense, and my horse was very sensitive.

'He just smacked him with a rasp, it was uncalled for.'

The alleged incident happened back when he was a teenager, but according to Guterl, Frazee's behavior wasn't a one-off.

'It's a characteristic that was ongoing for years,' she said. 'Anytime he was at a rope and his horse didn't act right, he'd rip on his face, kick him. In the community, we were all at ropings and stuff, but if the horse doesn't do exactly what it's supposed to do you don't just beat them.'

Recalling a rodeo in nearby town Cripple Creek several years ago, she described Frazee losing his cool with his horse.

'He got mad because his horse didn't do good and somebody didn't heel just right to help him get in the money and he got so mad he left out of Cripple Creek Rodeo, flipped his horse trailer with his horse in it and almost killed that horse,' she said.

'He got mad, tries to get his vehicle out of there and there's too many cars tightly packed in. Lots of people were there.'

A former girlfriend who dated Frazee more than six years ago declined to speak to DailyMail.com but her current partner said: 'He cheated on her while she was in the hospital, take that for what it's worth.'

Asked whether Frazee was ever abusive, the partner said: 'He never beat on them (girlfriends) or anything like that. On animals he was rough, he was pretty aggressive with dogs and horses.'

'Patrick is a horseshoer, I heard once he was thumping on the horse "saying this is how you've got to do it," that horse reared up and kicked him right in the forehead, he got a bunch of stitches and his [then] girlfriend hauled him to the hospital to get stitches.'

The man, who knew Frazee from school at Woodland Park High, said he was a 'recluse for sure'.

Hank Fildes, 34, who lived close to Frazee growing up said he's heard 'mixed things' about Frazee's alleged rough behavior with animals.

'It's hard to elaborate on Patrick, he was quiet and shy. He had his own friends circle and stayed close to his friends,' Fildes said.

'He did come across, "I'm a big tough cowboy." But that's that cowboy way, got be strong.

'That's how he was raised, he raised horses. I think if you're raised country that's normal, if you're raised city it's going to seem harsh. It's not wrong in his eyes.'

'Sometimes there's neglect and over abuse yes, he'd tread the fine line on it I'd say. You've got make a horse submit to what you want to do. You've got to be kind of firm. You shouldn't hit them.'

Kelsey had been living in the mountain community of Woodland Park, about 15 miles from Florissant, in a townhouse she bought in June.

Her neighbor Angie Gerber, 71, said she had assumed Frazee lived there with Kelsey and the baby, and said she saw him come and go in a red work truck.

Gerber was away for the Thanksgiving holiday and her last interaction with Kelsey was the week before, when she gave her a baby gate for the house.

'She seemed fine. She's a gorgeous baby and Kelsey was just a great neighbor, she was always really quiet and there was never any problem at all. All of us are praying she's okay,' Gerber said.

On December 3, the day after Cheryl reported her missing, an aunt wrote in a Facebook group: 'Our niece is missing and has not been seen for a week. Her phone was last pinged near Gooding, Idaho. She told her ex when she dropped off their baby that she was heading to family in Washington. Please help us get the word out to the truckers in that area last week. If anyone has seen her contact the authorities immediately.'

'She broke up with her ex on Thanksgiving, he said she dropped off the baby and was heading to Soap Lake, Washington to visit. No one knew anything about the visit.'

Kelsey's cousin JoDee Garretson, 50, confirmed to DailyMail.com that the message was posted by an aunt who is Cheryl's sister.

Garretson said she didn't know if the information was correct and revealed Kelsey's mother later asked the aunt to take the post down.

The message adds another dimension to the mystery surrounding this case as police and Cheryl have said Frazee and Kelsey were engaged but not living together.

Cheryl told NBC News that the couple did not have a wedding date set but that their relationship 'has been good'.

'They're loving. It hasn't been ideal, you know, given the economy and things,' she said.

'They had plans that haven't worked out as they would have liked. But they've dealt with that and they've made things work regardless.'

She also said the couple were planning to find a home of their own, but Frazee's cattle farming job had been affected by poor prices.

Garretson says she is sure her cousin did not disappear willingly and described her as a very loving mother who would never have left her daughter.

'Kelsey's so reliable and responsible, she's a mom, she would never leave her child. She was very excited [to be a mom], and she was a great mom,' Garretson said.

Garretson said the family want Frazee to sit down with investigators and to let Cheryl see her grandchild.

'I can only imagine as a mom if one of my children went missing, it would be killing me not to get to the grand baby,' she said.

'I just can't imagine how much it would mean to hold that baby.'

Only the 2...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
