«Breaking News» Office worker recounts the terrifying moment her drink was spiked during her work Christmas party

A woman has recounted the moment she thought she was going to die after her drink was spiked during her work Christmas party.

Mandy Marmion, from Hobart, shared an emotional video on Facebook the day after her drink was spiked at Salamanca Place, one of Hobart's popular nightspots, where she was celebrating with her work colleagues.

'Last night I had the most terrifying experience of my life,' the post said.

Ms Marmion spoke to the camera to relay the events of Friday night which have left her visibly 'shaken'.

The mother-of-two believes her drink was spiked at about 11.30pm at a bar.

Ms Marmion said she had a few sips of her wine and by 11.35pm she lost her vision and mobility.

She displayed quick-thinking and called her paramedic husband Adam in a panic.

'I just remember begging him to help me,' she said in the video.

Ms Marmion said she tried to reach the road to find her husband but collapsed on the ground where she was assisted by St John's ambulance.

She hit the ground on her shoulder and suffered bruising to her left eye from the fall.

'Then I proceeded to have a full panic attack and just thought I was going to die,' she said.

'I remember saying to Adam to tell my girls I loved them.'

Ms Marmion began to sob as she questioned the shameful attack.

'I thought I was going to die, it all happened so quickly,' she said wiping away a tear.

'I didn't do anything wrong, I didn't leave my drink.

'I was in a nice place, bright lights.'

Ms Marmion signed off the video by warning viewers to 'be careful'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
