A mother in Michigan was arrested on drugs charges after bringing her daughter and a friend to Walmart to 'camp' overnight.

Officers in Mason County were called to a Walmart store regarding a suspicious situation at around 6.49 am on Saturday.

When deputies arrived, Walmart employees told them there were two young girls who were reportedly found 'camping' inside the store's clothing section.

When approached the girls, they left on foot.

The officers later learned that the girls were both ten and were taking part in a social media challenge where people allegedly sleep inside large stores.

One of the girls left her cellphone behind and they were able to get in touch with one of the  mothers.

Sheriff Kim Cole said the mother of one of the girls allegedly took them to the store at around 2 am.

She subsequently returned to meet with the deputies. They discovered she was carrying heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine.

The woman was arrested and faces charges of drug possession. The store is open 24 hours.

Investigators said the girls were located shortly before 8 am walking on Sixth Street near Pere Marquette Highway, which is more than a mile away from the store.

The camping challenge first emerged this year, where teens and young adults  attempt to hide out in chain stores and restaurants.

The goal of the new fad, which apparently started with two Belgian teens in 2016, is to sneak inside a store or restaurant just before closing time, and remain there undetected until the next day, The Wall Street Journal reported.

A YouTube search returned almost two million results of the challenge as people document their adventures from inside a Toys R Us, Best Buy and even a trampoline park.

Retailers and police are trying to crack down on the sleepovers, citing safety concerns and the worry it causes to parents.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
