Kim Kardashian reportedly has her sights set on getting in with the royal family, and is keen to do it by forging a friendship with fellow Californian Meghan Markle.
The reality star, 38, who has climbed the social rungs from being Paris Hilton's assistant to rubbing shoulders with Beyonce and appearing on the cover of Vogue, is said to be planning an 'impressive gift' for the pregnant Duchess, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, who are expecting their first child in the spring.
Keen to stand out from other celebrities expected to send the royal couple gifts, mother-of-three Kim is reportedly researching diamond baby jewellery and designer onesies.
A source told Radar: 'The royal baby's a perfect time for her to remind Meghan – and Harry – that she and Kanye are sincere, thoughtful people and she's looking to stand out from all the other celebrities with something truly impressive.

'She's been researching everything from diamond baby jewellery to crystal nursery décor and designer onesies.
'Kim is convinced she and Meghan will be best friends one day.
'It's very much a long-term project and she's chipping away to impress her when the opportunities arise.'

The duchess, who has been forced to endure frequent outbursts from her father Thomas and half sister Samantha this year, had reportedly been struggling to figure out who she can let in.
'Meghan has lost touch with some of her close friends from before the wedding, which has been tough,' a source told People at the time. 'She's finding it hard to know who to trust.'
Meghan is still close to her makeup artist, Daniel Martin, and her former stylist Jessica Mulroney, who attended her wedding in May.
'There's a small group of us that check in with her and see how she's doing, but she's still the same person,' Martin previously told People.
Speaking about royal protocol earlier this year, royal observer Patricia Treble told Vanity Fair: 'You look at all the senior royals, and they're incredibly careful about whom they're friends with. They end up having lots of 'acquaintances,' or people who 'know them''.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
