«Breaking News» Karen Gillan looks the epitome of glamour in a silk white suit for Jimmy Kimmel appearance

She has stepped behind the camera and directed, written and starred in her own black comedy The Party's Just Beginning.

And Karen Gillan looked every inch the leading lady as she arrived at Jimmy Kimmel's studios in Los Angeles on Tuesday in a silk white power suit.

The actress, 31, chatted to the TV host about her upcoming movie before changing into a stylish denim boilersuit.

Karen cut a sophisticated figure in the tailored all-white ensemble, layering the double breasted blazer atop of a silk shirt. 

She added a boost to her height with white court shoes and wore her fiery red locks in Hollywood curls. 

The Doctor who star complemented her chic ensemble with blush-swept cheeks winged eyeliner and a slick of red lipstick.

Karen spoke about her latest film, her character's fate in Guardians of the Galaxy and moving to America with Jimmy. 

Speaking about how Nebula didn't die in Avengers: Infinity War, Karen said: 'I kind of knew she wasn't going to die because I didn't have to film a sequence where I was disintegrating. It was a small tip-off.'

The Scottish beauty remained tight-lipped about her love life when Jimmy asked: 'Do you have anyone in your life that you share these plot secrets and spoilers with?'

To which Karen replied: 'No I do not and that is because I have been trained to not give away any spoilers because my mother is always trying to get them out of me and she's become so sneaky with it.

'She will say "oh how's work going?", "are you eating properly?", "do you kill Thanos?"

But I'm like "you're not getting me with that, absolutely not Marie".

Karen also discussed moving back in with her parents in Scotland while filming The Party's Just Beginning. 

She said: 'My family spends most of their time in Los Angeles with me now which is really exciting but I shot my movie back in Scotland. So I went back to live at my parents while directing a movie. 

She continued: 'It was so funny because at work I would be calling all the shots and be the big boss and then when I came home my mum would shout things like "bring your laundry down right now". It was ridiculous, a double life.

'Suddenly everyone I have ever known was an actor, all my friends are in the movie in a scene where they are all drunkenly shoving chips into their mouth outside a chip shop.'   

The movie - which premiered at the Glasgow Film Festival - follows a young woman who turns to sex and alcohol to cope with her grief following the suicide of her best friend.

And despite being her directorial debut, she said it felt 'natural' to go behind the camera and direct. 

Following her interview Karen appeared in high spirits as she left the studios in a denim jumpsuit, which sheathed over her trim frame.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
