«Breaking News» Jesuits release list of priests 'credibly accused' of sexually abusing children in the last 70 years

A Maryland-based Catholic group released a list of priest names 'credibly accused' of sexual abuse of children dating back to 1950.

The Maryland Province Jesuits, a branch of the Catholic Church with over 16,000 members worldwide, disclosed the list of 13 priest names as part of a wider apology to victims and their families.

In a letter published on the group's website, Rev. Rob Hussey, the leader of the Maryland Order, wrote: 'We are deeply sorry for the harm we have caused to victims and their families.

We hope that this disclosure of names will contribute to reconciliation and healing.'

In the letter, Rev. Hussey said that the people 'demanded transparency and accountability' and provided a detailed list of the names of the priests accused who were investigated by Maryland Province.

Some of the priests included in the list have faced multiple accusations of sexual abuse with at least three cases stretching over three decades in the period from the 1950s to 1980s.

The letter adds that there are 'allegations that could not be fully investigated to determine credibility, but we are releasing the names because there is a reasonable possibility the alleged abuse occurred.'

Out of the 13 names listed, five are still alive today and live in supervised housing under 'a safety plan'.

According the Maryland Jesuits, the last known incident occurred in 2002.

Since 2002, the group claim to have installed a 'number of reforms' and employ a 'zero-tolerance policy' towards sexual abuse.

The Jesuits in the United States are made up of five provinces and the Maryland Jesuit's letter arrives off the back of the two other releases from Jesuit organisations.

Both the Western and the Central and Southern Provinces released the names of 150 priests this month who faced similar credible accusations.

On January 5, the Northeastern Province will release a list of names of priests accused in its region.

The Maryland Province 'encourage anyone who suspects abuse by any clergy or employee of the Province' to contact their local authorities or the Maryland's provincial’s office.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
