He has credited his appearance on I'm A Celebrity for helping him to 'learn a lot about himself'.
And wanting to permanently mark his time in the jungle, James McVey has had a new tattoo etched onto his wrist - adding to his already impressive collection of inkings.
The Vamps star, 24, chose a quote about self-discovery, in tribute to the personal journey he had in camp, that reads: 'I am not afraid of storms for I am learning how to sail my ship.'

James took to Instagram to share the black and white snap on Tuesday, debuting his new tattoo to fans and revealing alongside his upload: 'Goosebumps and ink... I learnt more about myself in the jungle than ever before, and there's still a way to go.'
It comes after the musician showcased the extent of his 5kg weight loss from his time in camp by posting a shirtless snap to social media.
Unveiling his thinner frame, and an array of tattoos he has etched across his arms, James posed shirtless in his boxer shorts. He revealed to his followers that the photo was taken just moments after he left the jungle, having survived almost three weeks on a rationed diet of rice and beans.

James penned: 'This was taken as soon as I got to the hotel after leaving camp. The jungle took 5kg from me and gave me awful facial hair. Here’s to pizza and cake...'
The star has battled anorexia in the past and while fans were left concerned over his weight loss in the jungle, James insisted they have nothing to worry about in an interview with Lorraine Kelly following his I'm A Celeb exit.
He told the breakfast show host: 'I lost 5kgs, which doesn't sound like a crazy amount, but I didn't go in with much to lose to be honest,' before adding: 'I've already had an afternoon tea, two pizzas, a vanilla slice and loads of sushi, so Lorraine I'm eating lots, don't worry.'
Prior to his appearance in the jungle, James had spoken candidly of his battle with food, telling The Mirror: 'I was ill and I looked ill. I'm happy now that I've come full circle and see food as a positive.'

He has since claimed that appearing on I'm A Celebrity has allowed him to learn a lot about himself and that he initially chose to sign up for the show as he wanted a 'challenge'.
Hitting back at speculation it was to boost his chances of going solo, James insisted he had no intention of using I'm A Celeb as a platform to leave The Vamps.
In an interview on Loose Women, he revealed: 'I'm very happy... I have no plans to go solo, I just wanted to challenge myself.
'With the band we have to be active on social and I thought the lovely thing about the jungle is when you take away the social we had so many different people of different races, religions, when you take that away and it's just person to person contact and it works.'

'I learned, you go into the process hoping you're a nice person, but you really learn what it is to have the camaraderie,' he added, before joking: 'I'll never moan again about being hungry.'
James was voted out of the jungle just two days before the final, finishing in fifth place overall and reuniting with girlfriend Kirstie Brittain, while Harry Redknapp went onto be crowned this year's winner.
The series had been praised by viewers for its warmth and the close friendships between the campmates, whereas previous instalments have been fraught with drama.
Emily Atack had finished in second place, while John Barrowman came in third.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
