«Breaking News» Gas explosion that killed Wisconsin firefighter: No charges brought

No criminal charges will be brought against anyone in relation to a deadly gas explosion that killed a volunteer firefighter and injured others on July 10 in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

Sun Prairie Police Chief Patrick Anhalt made the announcement Thursday.

'There was not probable cause to believe that a crime was committed,' Anhalt said.

He went on to explain that companies working on the project exchanged and relied upon 'incomplete and inaccurate information' and that law enforcement officials, including the county district attorney and state attorney general's office, agreed that criminal charges weren't warranted, Fox 6 Now reported.

'VT Tech proceeded with the fiber installation project, and while engaged in underground directional boring, cut through a We Energies gas line,' Anhalt said.

'We have determined that the intersection, including the specific location where the gas line was struck was not completely marked. This error appears to be the result of miscommunication between USIC, Bear Communications, Jet Underground and VC Tech,' Anhalt added.

The blast happened after a subcontractor who was installing fiber communication lines struck a gas main and the gas ignited.

Sun Prairie volunteer firefighter Cory Barr, who wasn't on duty at the time, was killed in the explosion.

Eleven other people, including five other firefighters and a police officer were injured.

The blast also destroyed a home and six businesses, including a bar that Barr and his wife owned called the Barr House.

Barr had gone to help evacuate and secure his business. He and another firefighter had just left when the explosion destroyed the building.

Firefighters and police evacuated dozens of people before the gas ignited.

'We do know that about 250 people were evacuated from the immediate area prior to the explosion,' said Chief Anhalt.

Investigators conducted 67 interviews over a five-month period, looked at 45 pieces of evidence and 400 pages of documents.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
