«Breaking News» Emily Blunt radiates elegance in classy silk suit at the Mary Poppins Returns New York City premiere

With Mary Poppins Returns hitting theaters in just two days, Emily Blunt graced the red carpet for the star-studded New York City premiere on Monday. 


The 35-year-old actress looked radiant at the Big Apple premiere, which was held at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan.


The actress was joined by her co-star Lin-Manuel Miranda as well as a number of other celebs there to show their support or enjoy an evening out with the family.

Blunt was wearing a unique blue pantsuit, with a white blouse with a petal-shaped collar design.


She had her hair tied back in a bun while wearing a pair of blue sapphire earrings and heels to complete her look.

Mary Poppins Returns is slated to open in 3,800 theaters on Wednesday, before four more movies open on Friday, Aquaman, Bumblebee, Welcome to Marwen and Second Act.


Blunt takes on the iconic title role in Mary Poppins Returns, as the beloved nanny who returns to the Banks children, who are now adults in Depression-Era London.

Ben Whishaw plays the adult Michael Banks, who must find a certificate that shows proof of the stock shares his father left him years ago, or he'll lose his house.


In his darkest house, Michael and his sister Jane (Emily Mortimer) get the surprise of a lifetime when their magical nanny returns to help them out once again.


Rob Marshall directs Mary Poppins Returns, which has an all-star cast around Blunt.

Original Mary Poppins star Dick Van Dyke also stars in Mary Poppins Returns, playing Mr. Dawes Jr. 


The 27-song soundtrack includes nine new songs, such as The Place Where Lost Things Go, a lullaby sung by Blunt's Poppins.


There is also A Cover is Not the Book, Underneath the Lovely London Sky, Turning Turtle, The Conversation and Nowhere to Go But Up.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
