«Breaking News» Emily Atack's mother Kate Robbins voiced Margaret Thatcher on Spitting Image

She's winning a new legion of fans during her current stay in the Australian jungle for the latest series of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

But viewers with longer memories may well be more familiar with actress Emily Atack's multi-talented mother Kate Robbins and her array of screen roles - among them the domineering voice of Margaret Thatcher in satirical puppet show Spitting Image.

Robbins, 60, provided almost every female voice on the hit show, including those of former British Prime Minister Thatcher, presenter Janet Street Porter and Australian singer Kylie Minogue throughout the 1980s and early 1990s.

The Margate born actress became an influential member of the Spitting Image team after appearing on British soap opera Crossroads, then a hugely watched show.

Before branching into acting and voice over work she was a moderately successful singer,  releasing eight singles between 1978 and 1988 - including the soulful number two hit More Than In Love.

As a member of pop group Prima Donna she also came third in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest with well received track Love Enough For Two.

The band, which also included Robbin's cousin Jane and Lance Aston - the brother of former Bucks Fizz star Jay Aston - disbanded the following year.

Emily - among the favourites to win this year's series of I'm A Celeb on Sunday evening - already has an impressive showbiz pedigree through her mother's cousin, The Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney.

The connection makes McCartney her first cousin removed, but she has refrained from mentioning her connection to the iconic musician or her own mother's impressive showbiz background while appearing in the jungle.

Speaking about her relationship with McCartney before signing up for the show, she told The Sun: 'He is really big on family. These days I call him Paul, and he always takes an interest in what I am up to.'

Emily was also the niece of late actor Simon Shelton, best know for his role as Tinky Winky in hit children's TV show The Teletubbies.

But she was inconsolable after Shelton died in April after suffering from a combination of alcohol intoxication and hypothermia.

The actress has managed a fortnight in the jungle and could be set for a place in the final after impressing viewers with her down-to-earth, can-do attitude.

She is said to be earning £40,000 for her stint on the show.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
