«Breaking News» Elizabeth Hurley supports Take That and Elton John AIDS Foundation

She has long shown her support for her close friend Sir Elton John's AIDs foundation and is a celebrity patron of the charity.

So it's no surprise Elizabeth Hurley was among the famous faced guests stepping out to support the foundation as they hosted a special black-tie gala opening of The Band - a musical produced by Take That - in London's West End on Tuesday.

The actress, 53, made for a dazzling display as she arrived at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, slipping into a stunning floor-length gown that boasted jewelled embellishments.

Flaunting her age-defying appearance, Elizabeth caught the eye in the extravagant nude pink number that skimmed over her enviable frame.

Her gown teased a look at her assets with cut-out detailing at its bandeau neckline and caught the eye, thanks to its glittering embellishments that framed the bodice of the dress.

Elizabeth's frock gathered in a dramatic train at her feet and she accessorised her red carpet look with a gold metallic purse clutch and dangling diamond earrings.

As usual, the star looked nothing short of glamorous and sported a flawless make-up look that enhanced her youthful looks. She favoured a dewy complexion and rosy cheekbones, along with lashings of kohl eye-liner and a nude pink lip.

Besides Christmas parties the best of time year to dust off an embellished dress is for events, and that’s exactly what the likes of Ayda Field and Elizabeth Hurley did for tonight’s AIDS Foundation event, as hosted once again by Elton John.

Elizabeth Hurley has opted to ditch the hot pink shade she has been wearing regularly these past few months for a nuder colour.

And here at Fashion Finder she’s ticked the best dressed list by wearing this Versace couture dress (which she will be auctioning off as well) designed with panelled embellishment that flatters the figure. What’s more, the dress is finished with a strapless V-cut bodice and drapes the silhouette before falling to a fishtail hem.

Sadly, it’s made-to-measure so we can’t get our hands on it, but click (right) to shop the latest Versace collection at NET-A-PORTER.

Alternatively, swap your LBD for one similar to Elizabeth’s and shop the edit below for that perfect replica no matter your budget. We’ve got our eye on this one by Aidan Mattox…

The mother-of-one wore her brunette locks down in soft teased out curls that fell past her shoulders and were parted in the middle.

Flashing a smile on her arrival, Elizabeth made sure to pose from all angles as she joined a host of celebrity guests at the gala.

The night will no doubt hold a special place in her heart, as she is a long-time patron of the Elton John AIDS Foundation - which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

Elizabeth and Sir Elton have long been friends and the musical icon is godfather to Elizabeth's son Damian, 16.

Meanwhile on stage, Robbie Williams will come together with Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald to mark the opening night of the boyband's musical; The Band and perform together.

Unlike ordinary opening nights, The Band will mark its addition to the West End with a special black-tie gala night hosted by the Elton John AIDS Foundation in a bid to raise awareness and donations for the charity's AIDSfree appeal.

Robbie and his former Take That bandmembers will reunite on stage to perform for guests, with Sir Elton John's partner David Furnish and Graham Norton hosting the affair.

Speaking about the evening, Sir Elton has said: 'David and I are deeply grateful for the generosity of everyone involved in this production, not least Take That.

He tipped the evening to be a 'fantastic night' and making sure it is one not to be forgotten, dinner tables have been set up in the stalls of the theatre for guests to enjoy a VIP West End experience.

All proceeds from tickets will go directly to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, proving funds for their AIDSfree appeal.

Elton John set up the foundation in 1993 within the UK in the hope of providing education, direct care and support services to those living with HIV.

So far the foundation has raised a huge $400million to support HIV-related programs in 55 different countries and boasts a number of celebrity patrons including Elizabeth Hurley, David and Victoria Beckham, Emma Thompson and Charlie Sheen.

The Band has landed in the West End after touring the UK and features the winners of BBC series Let It Shine.

It follows the story of five women, all best friends and fans of Take That when they were younger. They reconnect 25 years after losing contact to fulfill their dream of finally seeing the band perform.

The musical features music and lyrics from Take That and a book by Tim Firth and has been produced by David Pugh and Dafydd Roger. It first premiered at the Manchester Opera House in September 2017, before going on to tour the UK and Ireland.

The Band: The Musical first premiered in the West End on December 1 and will enjoy a limited run until January 2019.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
