«Breaking News» Driver in DUI wrong-way freeway crash sobs as she gets 30 years to life for killing six

A 26-year-old drunk driver broke down in tears as she was sentenced to between 30 years and life in prison for killing six people, including her sister, in a wrong-way crash.

'I ask God every single day to give comfort to those who are hurt by this,' Olivia Carolee Culbreath, 26, told the California court according to KTLA. 'I want people to know I would die a million times over again for any one of you.'

'I'm going to punish myself for the rest of my life,' she continued. 'I was so wrong, and I take full responsibility.'

In February of 2014, Culbreath had been drinking before driving at more that 100mph down the wrong way of 60 Freeway in Diamond Bar, California, in her red Camaro.

Witnesses said she then collided with a red Ford Explorer carrying a family of four inside, killing everyone, along with her own two passengers.

The victims in the Explorer were  Gregorio Mejia-Martinez (47), his wife Leticia Ibarra (42), their daughter Jessica Jasmine Mejia (20), and Jessica's grandmother Ester Delgado (80).

The crash also included Joel Cortez's Ford Freestyle, though he himself would survive the wreck

In Culbreath's car, her older sister Maya Louise Culbreath and friend Kristin Melissa Young, both 24 at the time, died as well.

Joel Cortez, a man driving a Ford Freestyle also caught in the crash, survived suffering minor injuries at the time.

Culbreath had pleaded no contest to six counts of second-degree murder this year, KTLA reported, and though her blood alcohol content was at .15 percent three hours after the collision, she was not charged with drunken driving.

Between 2010 and 2011, the teenager at the time had been convicted of a DUI and had two citations even before the fatal incident to come.

After her license was reinstated, she was warned future infractions could result in murder charges, according to NBC Los Angeles.

Gregorio Mejia-Martinez was 47 (left) at the time of the crash. He along with his daughter, Jessica Jasmine Mejia, 20 (right) and his wife Leticia Ibarra, 42, and Jessica's grandmother Ester Delgado, 80, all perished in the crash

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
