«Breaking News» Doctor Who: Jodie Whittaker confirms she WILL return as the Time Lord for 12th season 

She made history this year when she became the first female Time Lord.


And Jodie Whittaker has confirmed that she will be returning to Doctor Who for the iconic sci-fi show's 12th season.


The actress, 36, revealed the good news to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday, as she gushed: 'I really can't wait to step back in and get to work again.'

She added: 'It's such an incredible role. It's been an extraordinary journey so far and I'm not quite ready to hand it over yet.'

Jodie's debut as the Time Lord scored the highest ratings for The Woman Who Fell To Earth, the highest for a BBC One drama this year.


It received the best ratings for the show in 12 years for a Doctor Who opener, and it also beat Richard Madden and Keeley Hawes' Bodyguard, which launched with 6.7million viewers in August.

As the the 13th incarnation of the time-travelling Doctor, and viewers have been blown away by Jodie throughout the season.


Some have been so impressed by her that they said she had completely embodied the character and was already '100% The Doctor' following her debut.


One thing that a lot of fans have also commended Jodie on was the way in which her character was able to take the best qualities from her male counterparts.

After Sunday's finale, Jodie will next be seen on screens in the New Year special, the only outing of the show to air in 2019 as the crew get ready to film a new season for release in early 2020.


And The Mirror revealed on Friday that the Time Lord will come face to face with the Daleks in the one-off episode.


The genetically engineered race of mutants are one of the Doctor's most iconic villains, and have appeared on the show in every season, except for the current one.


Showrunner Chris Chibnall had previously revealed that he would not be bringing back the sci-fi show's 'old monsters' during Jodie's first season.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
