«Breaking News» Danniella Westbrook attends Essex TV Awards weeks after beginning facial reconstruction surgery

It has been a few weeks since she begun reconstruction surgery after osteoporosis rotted away her cheekbones and gums.

And Danniella Westbrook looked happy and healthy as she attended the Essex TV Awards on Thursday night. 

The former EastEnders actress, 45, embraced androgynous chic as she posed up a storm on the red carpet in a sensational black suit.

Danniella looked in high spirits as she rocked up to the event in towering stilettos which complemented her chic trousers. 

The TV actress teamed the look with satin-collared blazer atop a skintight matching top. 

She added to the look with a stylish quilted cream-coloured clutch as she mingled with others at the event. 

Danniella sported half of her brunette locks scraped back off her face, and opted for a glamorous coat of make-up, consisting of heavy eyeliner and a contoured base.

Her sighting comes a mere few weeks after reconstruction surgery after osteoporosis rotted away her cheekbones and gums.

Danniella made the decision to undergo surgery after her previous addiction to cocaine and a botched surgery in 2015 left her with decaying bones.

Following the procedure, she wrote on Twitter: 'Feeling wiped out after this morning face swollen but at last the process has started.

'Not looking forward to the bone replacement but I'm on the right road. Thanks for all your messages x'

The former EastEnders star previously spoke to the Mirror about life with osteoporosis, saying she had to drink twelve pints of milk a day in order to strengthen up her bones, so a piece of her skull can be made into a plate for her face, to fix her 'sunken' appearance.

After having botched dental implants for a TV show and Botox over the years, Danniella had been left suffering with osteoporosis - which weakens the bones.

Detailing her horrific condition, the actress revealed that her new 'screw-like' teeth cut into her cheekbones, which are rotting away day by day, and she has almost no gums left at all.

She told the paper: 'They need to take a piece of bone out of my skull and put a plate into my face, but they’ve got nothing to stick the plate on at the minute because the bones not strong enough.'

Her issues stem from the botched procedures in 2015, which were so damaging she was eventually hospitalised during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother the following year.

However, her condition worsened so much that she also developed septicemia, and fought to survive in hospital for seven weeks.

Discussing the terrifying time, she said: 'I did nearly die, I had two lots of IV drips in each side and then they took all my teeth out again and gave me this denture, which has broken my heart because I didn’t need all of my teeth out in the first place.

'However, while she is upset by her appearance, Danniella admitted it frustrates her more that people assume her health woes stem from her cocaine addiction.

The actress' battle with the drug has been well-publicised, and she famously had her nose reconstructed after her septum collapsed from excessive use in 2002.

Yet, she said of her upcoming surgery: 'The thing that makes me most unhappy is everyone goes, "It’s coke". I’m like, "Listen if it was coke, I’d be like yeah it’s coke". But this is not my fault, it’s down to the TV show that I’ve got bad teeth.'

Danniella is also set to have a hysterectomy in the near future as she continues her heartbreaking battle with womb cancer.

The soap star, whose mother also battled the disease and is now cancer-free, revealed that doctors initially misdiagnosed her illness after finding a tangerine-sized clot in her womb, mistakenly believing she was pregnant.

After collapsing in the UK, the star was rushed to the hospital by her best friend Kerry Katona, but didn't receive the cancer diagnosis until she had returned home to Spain.

Discussing the news in September, she told Now magazine: 'It hit me quite hard when I found out. I feel like crap. I'm tired.

'I'm just trying to get this treatment out of the way for the cancer... I'm going to be going in [to hospital] for treatment and operations in the next few weeks.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
