«Breaking News» Attorney who was in a rock band is now enjoying a winning streak on Jeopardy!

An attorney who was the bass player in a seventies girl band is now enjoying a winning streak on the game show Jeopardy!.

Jackie Fuchs is the current reigning Jeopardy! champion and is a trivia buff who has appeared on multiple game shows.

Fuchs made her first appearance on December 14, but it wasn’t until her third appearance on Tuesday night when Alex Trebek finally acknowledged her tenure in the band.

She will return today to attempt to claim her fourth victory on the show and currently has a three-day total of $58,689.

She told host Alex Trebek: 'I was the base player in the seventies all female rock band the Runaways'.

Asked who she made the switch from musician to attorney she said: 'I just get bored easily I guess'.

Her run on the popular trivia game show on December 14, where she took home $14,200.

She returned the following Monday where she came out on top again, winning an additional $19,889. The winning streak continued she scored an additional $24,600.

It is not the first time that the musician has appeared on a TV game show. In 2013, she tried her hand at 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' as well as 'The Chase'.

The Runaways was an all-female rock group with hits such as 'Cherry Bomb', 'Hollywood' and 'Queens of Noise'.

She later went on to earn a law degree from Harvard and her creative outlet is writing fiction.

Asked why she went on the show, she told Pitchfork: 'I told the producers that I wouldn’t talk about it unless I made it to day three, because I don’t want that to be just who I am, you know?

'I think there’s more to me, and I wanted people to get to know my more fun, quirky side.

'But I had to talk about it because we have some really great fans and I thought it would be nice to acknowledge them in that way'.

She also claimed that she missed the creative part of writing music. She added:  'Sometimes. But the idea of being on the road at my age just doesn’t appeal to me. I miss the creative part.

'I do write short stories and novelettes, and I’ve written a couple novels—nothing published yet, it’s just for me. It’s my release. It can scratch that creative itch'.

She said she was strong at categories such as  Classical music, opera, literature, and art.

She added: 'You want things that are difficult and that not everybody knows, because I’m older than most of the other contestants.

'I don’t think I faced anybody who was older than I am, so if I had started with the $200 clue and built up, other contestants would have gotten into a better rhythm.

'I knew I had to be a little bit of a disruptor and bounce around the board, which some viewers don’t like. But I was there to win'.

In 2015, Fuchs alleged she was sexually assaulted by the Runaways former manager Kim Foley who died that year.

The alleged incident took place on December 31, 1975 when Fuchs was just 16.

He is credited with helping start the band, though he stopped working with them in 1977.  In 2015, she spoke of the alleged rape in a Facebook post and thanked people for their outpouring of support after she went public.

The Runaways, which also included Currie, Joan Jett, Lita Ford and Sandy West, broke barriers as an all-female rock band.

They also toured the world, opening for groups such as Cheap Trick and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
