«Breaking News» Strictly Come Dancing fans fear Kevin Clifton has QUIT after he signs up to All Star Musicals

He's long been a Strictly Come Dancing favourite after joining the professional dancer line-up in 2013.

However, fans of the BBC dance show were left fearing Kevin Clifton had quit his role after he announced on Monday that he's set to  judge new ITV show All Star Musicals.

Taking to his Twitter account, the dancer, 36, wrote: 'Delighted to announce I will be on the judging panel for All Star Musicals on ITV alongside Elaine Paige, @kchenoweth and @astonishingtrev.'

While many were quick to applaud Kevin for his new job, some fans questioned whether the role means he'll be saying goodbye to Strictly.

Commenting on a picture Kevin shared, which features him with his fellow All Star Musical judges, one fan said: 'Does that mean u aren't going to be doing strictly?'

While another remarked: 'Does this mean you won't be on strictly @keviclifton ???? 

With another worried fan adding: 'Please tell me, you're not leaving strictly?'

However, fans needn't worry as All Star Musicals will be a one-off special, airing on ITV this spring. 

The new production will see seven celebrities take to the stage at the London Palladium to perform an iconic musical number.

Joining Kevin on the judging panel are American Gods star Kristin Chenoweth, singer and musical theatre favourite Elaine Page and West End's Trevor Dion Nicholas, who is currently starring as the Genie in Aladdin. 

While TV favourite John Barrowman will be stepping into the role as host.

Winner: Kevin is currently reigning champion on Strictly Come Dancing, having won the show with Stacey Dooley in 2018

Speaking about his new role, Kevin, who won last year's Strictly with Stacey Dooley, commented: 'When I was asked if I would like to be part of All Star Musicals I was like ‘hell yeah’, but to be asked to be part of the actual judging panel was another level.

'I am so excited to join the rest of the panelists and being honest, it will be nice to be on the other side of the desk for once.'

While Kristin shared: 'The world needs more shows like All Star Musicals and I’m honoured to celebrate the art of musical theatre with all the lucky people who get to watch it on television!'

She added: 'I am so excited to join the rest of the panelists and being honest, it will be nice to be on the other side of the desk for once.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
