TOWIE's Myles Barnett has lashed out at the show while announcing his departure, as he insisted the programme harvests a 'toxic and negative environment'.
The 24-year-old star, who joined the show as Courtney Green's boyfriend in 2017's 20th series, took to Instagram to share an impassioned message about his departure, in which he admitted the show brought out a side he 'wasn't proud of'.
His outburst comes after he came under fire in April last year for his treatment of women, with viewers demanding he was dismissed from the show for calling Courtney 'a f**king s**g' and acting aggressively.

Myles joined a host of stars including his girlfriend Kady McDermott, Chloe Lewis and Jon Clarke in departing the show in a shake-up revealed on Thursday.
In the statements, Kady announced she was 'proud' of her beau and Chloe detailed how 'wonderful' her time on the programme had been since she joined in 2015's series 14 alongside her then on-off boyfriend Jake Hall.
Myles however had a wholly more acerbic tone to his message, as he penned: 'After an eventful two years at TOWIE with many highs and lows I have taken the decision upon myself to leave TOWIE...
'When something no longer fulfils you, makes your grow as a person or even just makes you happy it’s best to leave it in the past...

Leaving: Since Myles' girlfriend Kady joined, he has been at loggerheads with many stars
'This year I am solely focusing on my career and my relationship with Kady as they are the most important things to me right now, and the show wasn’t benefiting either of them...
'As most of you will probably know TOWIE brought out a side to me I wasn’t always proud of, as much as I enjoyed my time on it I started to find it very toxic and negative environment for myself...
'I am the happiest I’ve been in a very long time and I would like to keep it that way by removing any negativity in my life...
'I’m going to use my social media so you can all get an insight of my life and the highlights and get to know the real me, and more importantly so I can control how my life is shown instead of it being in the hands of TV editors who are strangers to me...
Moving on: He is said to have cheated on Courtney, leading to his many fall-outs
'Thank you for all your support the last two years, I have grown a lot as a person and I will forever be thankful for the experience and the life lessons it taught me.'
A TOWIE spokesman told MailOnline: 'Every series we review our cast to ensure we're following the lives of those who are most interesting and willing to share their real lives and relationship highs and lows.'
In April, infuriated fans urged producers to take action against Myles for his behaviour towards Courtney, with many users lashing out at the star for 'verbally abusing' and calling for immediate suspension.
One memorable scene saw Myles come face-to-face with then-new boy Jordan Wright, who made no secret of his desire to pursue Courtney at the time.
As their argument gained momentum, Jordan reveals that Courtney showed him one of Myles' messages while they were away together - leading to Myles throwing his drink at Jordan and then turning on Courtney by branding her 'a s**g'.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
