«Breaking News» Karen Elson says she also had a 'traumatizing experience with Ryan Adams' but won't share details

Karen Elson on Thursday afternoon was the latest woman to accuse singer Ryan Adams in a #MeToo scandal where his ex-wife Mandy Moore claimed he was psychologically abusive toward her in their seven-year marriage.

The 40-year-old British model opened up on Instagram in a post where she used the hashtag #TimesUp to say other people speaking about their sexual misconduct scandals had encouraged her to speak out.

But she told her approximate 154,000 followers that she was not ready to share specific details on what happened between her and the 40-year-old she provided musical support for on tour in 2017.

'I also had a traumatizing experience with Ryan Adams,' she posted in an Instagram Stories text post that she shared on her main page. 'While I'm not quite brave enough yet to speak about my specifics. I'm encouraged that many women have bonded and helped each other heal.

'This is the power of sisterhood and I'm very grateful for these women. I hope all those speaking out are given the grace and dignity they deserve. The trauma that lingers is often a very powerful silencer of women as is the business that enables these men to thrive without ever facing consequences.'

Moore, 34, shared Elson's claim and wrote: 'I love you so much and commend your bravery.'

Actress Busy Philipps was among people posting messages of support. Philipps was so outraged by the previous allegations she said she deleted all her Ryan Adams music.

Elson made the accusation six hours after sharing an alternative Valentine's Day message that Moore shared with her own 3.3 million followers.

'Love does not gaslight. Love does not prey on insecurities. Love does not cause chaos in its wake,' Karen posted. 'Love does not silence women.'

It prompted Moore to pass it on with the caption: 'This!! Thank you @misskarenelson.'

The redhead catwalk star, who is also a singer-songwriter, had shared Moore's New York Times story that came out Wednesday.

That day she shared a messaging stating: 'I am deeply disturbed by the allegations about Ryan Adams in the New York Times. I support all the women who are coming forward to share their experiences of trauma and abuse.

'These women are tremendously courageous and are advocates on behalf of all women. Please be kind to them!'

On Wednesday, Moore alleged that the singer-songwriter was psychologically abusive toward her throughout their seven-year marriage and that he prevented her from making connections in the music industry.

Her claims were included in a bombshell New York Times article in which seven women accused Adams of offering them career opportunities while seeking to have sex with them, and then retaliating when they didn't want to pursue the relationship.

'Speaking your truth can be painful and triggering but it's always worth it. My heart is with all women who have suffered any sort of trauma or abuse. You are seen and heard. #sisterhoodforever,' Moore posted on Instagram on Thursday.

Her post came after a number of celebrities rallied behind the singer and actress in the wake of Adams becoming embroiled in the #MeToo scandal.

Moore liked a number of supportive tweets from stars including Minka Kelly, Sarah Silverman and Alyssa Milano.

Moore split from Adams in 2015 and they officially divorced in 2016.

The Times report said that Adams allegedly sexted a 14-year-old fan and once texted her saying people would compare him to R. Kelly if they knew he was having a relationship with a minor.

According to the report, Adams was manipulative and 'dangled career opportunities while simultaneously pursuing female artists for sex'. When they didn't give into his sexual demands he took away his offers and became emotionally and verbally abusive, it is alleged.

He had allegedly bombard the phones of his alleged victims with text messages and threaten suicide if they didn't reply.

However, Adams denied the allegations and took to Twitter on Wednesday evening to share his remorse.

'I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes. To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.

'But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false. I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage. Period.

'As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly. I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be. And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing,' he tweeted.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
