«Breaking News» Is this the worst acceptance speech of all time? Vice Oscar winners slammed on Twitter

Maybe they should have just winged it.

The winners for Best Hair and Makeup at the 91st Academy Awards also won some internet infamy Sunday night after their acceptance speech for Vice went off the rails.

Oscar viewers on Twitter were quick to poke fun at the chaotic speech.

The trio of Greg Cannom, Kate Biscoe and Patricia Dehaney looked ecstatic as they made their way up to the stage to collect their little golden men.

But the trouble started almost as soon as they opened their mouths.

After thanking a few of their Vice collaborators, the winners started to talk over each other.

Biscoe held up a sheet of paper with their speech on it, from which the three were supposed to alternate lines, but they apparently didn't bother to figure out who would say which lines.

The orchestra in the auditorium started to play off the stumbling winners, but it didn't speed things up, and they continued to the end of their prepared speech.

Indiewire film critic David Ehrlich, who gave Vice a blistering negative review, took a hit at the film itself, which dramatizes Dick Cheney's rise to power within the George W. Bush administration.

'honestly if this acceptance speech were any clumsier it would be a scene in VICE. #Oscars.'

One viewer was unequivocal in saying the 'three just won the Oscar for the worst acceptance speech ever, by a landslide.'

Another poster shared a similar sentiment: 'This could potentially be the worst acceptance speech of all time #oscars #vice.'

The mixed-up acceptance speech reminded multiple viewers of the horrors of high school presentations.

One tweeter wrote, '90% of high school group presentations #Oscars.'

Another tweeted, 'Me and my friends during a presentation. #Oscars' with a photo of the Vice winners.

Another viewer took the painful speech as a symptom of the evening's flaws.

'This is me, changing the channel on the longest #Oscars acceptance speech for makeup ever. Seriously...one of the most boring Academy Awards shows EVER.'

'Watching Netflix until #TheWalkingDeadStarts,' he added.'

Train wreck:...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
