«Breaking News» I'm A Celebrity's Angie Kent hits back at Foxtel boss after he blacklisted her and Yvie Jones

Angie Kent has hit back at Foxtel boss Brian Walsh after he publicly criticised her and Gogglebox co-star Yvie Jones for signing up to I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.

The reality star, who was eliminated from the jungle this week, told News Corp on Wednesday that she doesn't regret her career decision and won't shed any tears over Brian's comments.

'I loved doing Gogglebox. I gave up four years of my life — eight seasons. We brought home three Logies,' she defiantly told the publication.

'If Brian wants to be disappointed with us going into the jungle, that's his choice,' she said, adding that she will always support Gogglebox from afar.

'When I'm A Celeb popped up, I thought why the hell not do something that Gogglebox couldn't offer me?' Angie added.

It comes days after Foxtel's Executive Director of Television Brian Walsh told TV Tonight that the Sydney flatmates were blacklisted by Foxtel for signing up for the Channel 10 program.

'You will not see a review of them on Gogglebox,' Walsh said. 'From a promotional point of view, the issue that upsets Foxtel is the exploitation of the Gogglebox brand to market and sell another program.'

It is understood Foxtel likes to keep Gogglebox contestants away from the showbusiness spotlight so they maintain 'authenticity' as pop culture critics.

But things became tricky when Yvie, 46, and Angie, 30, appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, becoming bona fide reality TV stars in the process.

According to TV Tonight, their decision 'caused some friction behind the scenes'.

The situation is more complex due to the fact Gogglebox is aired on both Foxtel and Channel 10 as part of a unique agreement between the two broadcasters.

Walsh added that Foxtel management were also 'incredibly disappointed' when the two women publicly criticised their appearance fees.

In August 2018, Angie told Who magazine that 'everyone [in the Gogglebox cast] still has to work' because of their relatively low salaries.

'Oh God, otherwise we'd be on the streets!' she added.

Walsh said of the revelation: 'I was incredibly disappointed that they were critical of Foxtel and the appearance fee money we paid them to do Gogglebox. I thought that was unfair, unnecessary and unwarranted.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
