«Breaking News» Amanda Knox plays murder suspect at Victorian-themed party

Amanda Knox joked about her time in prison and posed as the suspect in another stabbing as she shared pictures from a Victorian-themed murder mystery party.

The 31-year-old, whose real-life murder mystery gripped the world when she was charged with killing British student Meredith Kercher in Italy, played a British countess accused of stabbing the owner of a priceless artwork.

Joking that she had been accused of murder once again, she said her character had been exonerated in four hours, adding: 'Better than four years'.

Ms Knox, from Seattle, Washington, spent four years in an Italian prison after she and her ex-boyfriend were jailed for the November 2007 murder, but she was found not guilty in 2011.

Posting the pictures on Instagram, she said: 'Victorian London: A priceless painting goes missing and the owner is found both poisoned and stabbed.

'And would you believe it, I, the Countess of Lovelace, am accused. Also acquitted, all in 4 hours. Better than 4 years.'

She appeared to be playing Ada Lovelace, a 19th-century British mathematician who worked on a very early form of computer programming.

One of the other party guests was her fiance Christopher Robinson, a novelist who proposed to Ms Knox with an elaborate ET-themed display last November.

They have been dating since February 2016 and Ms Knox made the relationship public with a change in her Facebook status later that year.

The couple met after Ms Knox had reviewed Robinson's book, War of the Encyclopaedists, on her blog.

Among the other murder mystery guests was Robinson's writing partner Gavin Kovite, an Iraq veteran who worked with Ms Knox's fiance on Encyclopaedists.

Another guest, Jordin Mitchell, shared one of the same pictures on his own account, saying: 'Nothing like a good ol' fashioned Victorian mystery to kick off the weekend... everyone was so fun to play with.'

The body of Ms Kercher, a 21-year-old British exchange student, was found by police in the flat she shared with Ms Knox on November 2, 2007.

Officers discovered her throat was slashed and she had been sexually assaulted.

Ms Knox and her then boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito were arrested and later convicted of murder and sexual assault in 2009.

The couple maintained their innocence, insisting that they had spent the evening together at Mr Sollecito's home watching a film, smoking marijuana and being intimate.

Two years later, the Perugia Court of Appeal acquitted the pair of the more serious charges, but upheld Ms Knox's conviction for malicious accusation.

After three years in custody, Ms Knox was released and left Italy for the United States.

Ms Knox challenged the malicious conviction, but the Court of Cassation quashed her acquittal in 2013 and referred the case back to the Assize Court of Appeal.

That court re-sentenced her to more than 28 years in prison for complicity in sexual assault and murder, and three years for malicious accusation.

Ms Knox launched another appeal, and in 2015 she and Mr Sollecito were acquitted of sexual assault and murder by Italy's highest court, but Ms Knox was not cleared of the malicious accusation charge.

Rudy Hermann Guede, an Ivorian, is serving a 16-year sentence for Ms Kercher's murder.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
