Vicky Pattison has returned to Mexico seven years after her Geordie Shore co-star Ricci Guarnaccio proposed to her during a Cancun MTV special.
The 31-year-old reality star touched down on Wednesday ahead of her sister Laura's sun-soaked nuptials, as she continues to recover from the 'heartache and humiliation' of her second fiancé John Noble's alleged infidelity two months ago.
Far from the pain of her recent break-up being potent enough, her family holiday will also bring back memories of the 2012 proposal, which saw her then-beau pop the question via sky-writing - prior to their extremely acrimonious break-up.

Vicky bravely shirked her love woes to jet to Mexico to see her younger sister Laura tie the knot just two months after her fiancé John was explosively caught getting up close to a bevy of beauties during a lads' trip to Dubai.
As she documented her trip through the airport and on to the plane, the former Geordie Shore star revealed she was saying 'goodbye to selfish and w**k people' to see her sister tie the knot.
And while she is clearly reflective of her romance with John, being in Mexico will undoubtedly dredge up memories of her romance with Ricci - which ended explosively with claims of abuse in the relationship.
During 2012's Geordie Shore: Chaos In Cancun special, Ricci and Vicky's love, whose romance was famously tempestuous throughout the series, culminated in his lavish poolside proposal which saw her read the question paraded through the sky.

After the scene, she said: 'I’m not the girl who gets proposed to by the man of her dreams, and all of a sudden I am that girl and I’m so, so happy.'
The relationship was however ill-fated as their split came a year later and led to shocking abuse allegations from Ricci.
Ricci explosively claimed after the romance: ‘I was totally in love with her but our relationship was even more volatile than Geordie Shore viewers saw on screen. After five or six months together we started fighting.
‘We were famous for our massive rows and we were both as bad as each other. But the fights got worse and worse. When Vicky and I were together we became completely unrecognisable. Hotel rooms would get smashed up...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
