«Breaking News» Tiffany Haddish sparks backlash from PETA after revealing she plans to 'wear fur everyday'

PETA has responded to Tiffany Haddish's protest plans to 'wear fur everyday' until 'the police stop killing black people'.

The animal rights organisation commented on Tiffany's Instagram post from earlier this week which saw the actress and comedian reveal 'I'm about to start protesting.'

The actress, 39, received a fur vest as a gift from a fan, and took to social media in an Instagram video to thank them while revealing she would wear it to make a statement.

She said: 'I'm about to start protesting. I'ma wear fur every day until they stop killing black people.'

'When the police stop killing black people, I'll stop wearing fur. Sorry PETA, don't be mad at me, be mad at the police.'

The People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organisation has hit out at the idea, replying in the comments: 'We love you, Tiffany, and as an animal rights organisation, we advocate for and believe in kindness towards all, including animals.

'We hope that you choose to protest in a different way that doesn't harm any humans or any animals, but is kind to all <3.'

Earlier this week Tiffany hit the headlines after her disastrous stand up set at Miami's James L. Knight Center on New Year's Eve.

Haddish, 38, on Wednesday chat with TMZ in her native Los Angeles, admitted she 'might have went a little bit overboard' with the performance after working at a breakneck pace throughout 2018.

'I've worked almost every single day last year,' Haddish 'I've only been home … a grand total of 40 days,' The Last O.G. star explained. 'I've slept in my bed a grand total of 28 days the whole year. I worked all the way up until New Year's.'

In the botched gig, fans walked out as Haddish admitted that things had gone off the rails, telling the crowd at one point, 'This is weird for me; now, this is going to be on TMZ or whatever.'

She told the outlet Wednesday, 'So I get out to Miami and I want to celebrate all this prosperity, this greatness … and I might have went a little bit overboard.'

The Uncle Drew star noted that her job is not an easy one, challenging her detractors to see if they could achieve what she has in her career: 'I think people should get onstage and try it themselves, at least 10 times and let's see where you end up.'

Haddish noted two of her big hit films - Night School and Girls Trip - in defending her talent.

'Let's see if you end up in two movies that make No. 1 comedies over $100 million worldwide in two years. Let's see if you can do that cause it's a lot of work to get to where I'm at. It ain't easy.'

The If Loving You Is Wrong actress didn't seem to hold any grudge against South Florida in the wake of the lambasted performance, and said she walks away from the disappointment all the wiser.

'I learned that Miami is a really dope city and I probably shouldn't turn up before work … lesson learned, lesson learned,' Haddish said. 'It was a great experience, I learned from it. I'm gonna try my best for it to not happen again, but it might.'

Haddish named an impressive list of her comedic colleagues who reached out with support in the wake of the highly-publicized incident, including Dave Chappelle, Kathy Griffin, Sarah Silverman, Kevin Hart, Amy Schumer and Sinbad.

'They all reached out yesterday,' she said. 'I got all these great phone calls.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
