What was initially thought of as another celebrity swatting incident, this time at a home owned by Jimmy Kimmel, turned strange with the arrest of Kimmel's friend on felony charges of making criminal threats.
Adam Perry Lang, chef and best-selling author, was arrested at Jimmy Kimmel's Hermosa Beach, California, home on Sunday after a massive police presence swarmed the neighborhood, according to TMZ.
The police raided the home just before midnight on Saturday, and it was initially reported as a possible swatting incident.
However, an officer with the Hermosa Beach Police says that it is not considered to be a case of the dangerous prank.

'There is a reason we arrested him [Lang]. There is evidence detectives are now processing,' an unnamed officer told TMZ.
'The "male" that called 911 was absolutely not Adam Perry Lang,' Lang's lawyer Glen T. Jonas said. 'Mr. Lang will be cleared of any wrongdoing. He was fast asleep with his ringer off. He immediately cooperated once he was notified of the commotion.'
Police allegedly were dispatched due to a 911 call from a male in the residence claiming to have assaulted a girlfriend with a rifle and to be in possession of two explosives.
Jimmy Kimmel and his wife Molly McNearney were not at the home, as it is not the Kimmel family's primary residence. Police instead spent 'several hours' trying to make contact with Lang, who was allegedly asleep.

During this time nearby homes were evacuated and helicopters and a drone appeared on the scene.
The police were eventually able to make 'telephone contact with the male who ultimately agreed to exit the residence,' and Lang exited the residence to be taken into police custody.
Jimmy Kimmel was able to bail Lang out at the Hermosa Beach Police Department on Sunday around noon for $50,000, but police reportedly haven't cleared Lang formally.
Lang is one of the nine celebrity chef friends who catered Kimmel's Oscar after party in 2018.
No explosives or weapons were found inside the house, and police say no one was injured.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
