A 14-year-old boy was found with five gruesome-looking hunting knives as the spate of stabbings rocking Britain continues to spiral.

The seizure came as a schoolboy in Lewisham, two boys in Thames Ditton and a woman in her 50s in Sutton emerged as the latest victims of the knife epidemic.

The 14-year-old boy, who is from Haringey, will appear in court later this month charged with five counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: 'This follows a stop and search by officers at around 14:00hrs in Highbury Quadrant, N5 on Sunday, 13 January.'

The knives seized in north London were among a horrific collection of blades seized by officers around the country as fears grown over the use of weapons, especially by teenage gangs.

In the West Midlands, police uncovered a machete, nunchucks and a flick knife on a man stopped in Shirley yesterday evening.

And in Cambridge, officers found a two-foot sword and a hunting knife on two people suspected of train fare-dodging.

A savage looking kitchen knife was seized after police chased down a man in Molesey, Surrey, today and a flick-knife was found in a drugs search in Hendon, north London.

Meanwhile, officers in Leytonstone, East London, arrested a man was possession of a large knife and what appeared to be marijuana.

The seizures came as London saw a series of stabbings over the weekend and this morning.

At 8.30am today, a teenager was rushed to hospital after being stabbed on Lewisham High Street.

Witnesses said the boy was wearing his school uniform when he was chased off a bus and attacked with metal poles and a knife.

Yesterday, two teenagers, 14 and 15, were arrested in Thames Ditton on suspicion of attempted murder after two boys were assaulted on a bridge over train tracks.

One of the victims remains in a serious but stable condition.

On Friday, a woman in her 50s was stabbed in Sutton outside a supermarket. She was taken to hospital then discharged.

And this evening, a man carrying a 'massive machete' was Tasered by police after terrified commuters saw him running around a busy south London railway station at rush hour while 'ranting'.

Stunned onlookers said that the machete-wielding man was subdued by officers using an electronic stun gun on a platform at Tulse Hill station at around 6.25pm.

Police have urged anyone with information about the incidents to contact 101.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
