'Well, here it is folks, the REVEAL! I’m am in the Sport Illustrated Swimsuit as just one of the core girls (not a special insert) at the age of nearly 54,' she wrote on Instagram.
'MJ Day, the chief editor who is in my mind the one most responsible for inclusive body type and skin color in the fashion and beauty world, decided to tackle the final barrier- age.
'And thumbs up for the incomparable Christie Brinkley, who appeared in the issue last year year, proving being sexy is ageless,' she added.
Paulina first posed for the magazine as a teenager, and went on to cover the 1984 issue when she was 18. She was the first woman from Central Europe to be on the cover.
She appeared again in the pages in 1985, 1986, 1989, 1992, 2004, and for the SI Swimsuit 50th Anniversary Legends shoot in 2014.
Last year, she also posed as part of SI Swim's female-empowerment body-paint special, alongside Aly Raisman, Hunter McGrady, and Olivia Culpo.

Jetsetter: The 53-year-old supermodel flew to Kenya for the shoot
This time, though, as she proudly states, she's just one of the models posing on the beach at Hemingways Watamu in Kenya.
Speaking to People, Paulina said she was thrilled when she was approached about the feature.
'My first thought was what an amazing idea it was to put a woman my age in SI as just one of the many "girls." Me, as the oldest "girl" in the SI stable,' she said.
'My second thought was, oh, yeah, s*8*t, that means I will have to pose in a bikini with a bunch of 20 year olds. It was at once thrilling and disconcerting.
'Although I am militant about ageing women still being sexy and beautiful, I don’t always feel that way,' she added. 'But refusing was out of the question. I was honored to be invited to break a barrier. I would just have to suck it up, or IN, rather, and hope for a photographer who knew his light.'
She also reflected back on her first time posing for the magazine.
Stunning: Last year, she stripped down and posed with the word 'truth' written across her chest for a spread in the 2018 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue
Loving life! She regularly posts photos of herself in bikinis on social media
Sizzling: A week before her birthday in 2017, the Czech beauty shared a snapshot of herself modeling a hot pink string bikini at the Raleigh Hotel pool in Miami
She sure doesn't age! Paulina is pictured wearing a sequined monokini in the 1980s
'My first SI shoot was in 1983, in Jamaica. I was 17 years old and lived in Paris at the time,' she recalled.
'When the agency in Paris told me I was booked for a magazine called Sports Illustrated, I snapped that I hated sports and didn’t want to do sports catalogues. Obviously, I was immediately shown the Carol Alt cover and told, not too kindly, that I was an idiot.'
'Shooting for SI in my teens was the hardest easy job in modeling. We had to get up at 3:00 a.m. to catch sunrises. We had to do our own hair and makeup — usually in a pitch-black van on the way to a location.
'When we shot in Australia, it was still winter and some days in the low 30s! But "bikinis have no pockets". Instead of worrying about clothing and folds and how to best showcase an outfit, all I had to worry about was whether or not my hair was blowing in the right direction,' she said.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
