«Breaking News» Miami fitness model reveals she was abused for two years by ex-boyfriend

A fitness model has revealed she was abused by her boyfriend for two years as she shared pictures of her injuries on Instagram. 

Estefania Pereira, who was born in Colombia but now lives and works in Miami, said she was physically and mentally abused by her partner between ages 24 and 26.

The now-27-year-old said the abuse started with insults but escalated into physical attacks which left her with cuts and bruises.

Pereira said the abuse started with insults and psychological attacks before escalating into physical violence, which left her bruised

Speaking to her 260,000 followers, she wrote: 'I am able to speak about this today because I feel healthy, and my heart has healed and I am well.

'I was initially mistreated by my former partner in a psychological way, that's how it starts.

'If you asked me how it all started, I would not know how to answer you. You do not even notice it, everything goes on escalating until the words or insults end and the physical abuse begins.

'Today I could not tell you when the first blow was because they were too many.

'I was blind, waiting for the person I fell in love with to return.  

The model described being made to feel worthless and like she had caused the abuse

Pereira said the years she was abused were 'the saddest of my life' before she finally decided to get out of the relationship and begin healing

'There was so much manipulation that I ended up blaming my actions.

'It controls your head so much that it makes you believe that you provoked it, that it is your fault. And the saddest thing is that you believe it.'

Images uploaded by Pereira show bruises on her wrists and legs, as well as strands of hair after being cut off, and another image of herself with tears streaming down her face.

Another image shows cuts on the palm of her hand where it appears she has fallen over and grazed the skin.

Describing the abuse as 'the saddest years of my life', she explained the reason for sharing her story was to educate other women.

She continued: 'There is simply no correct age to live a mistreatment. Do not allow this, because everything that is allowed is repeated.

She is now in a happier and healthier place and said she wanted to share her story to encourage other women to leave their abusive partners

'More than telling my story I wanted to open my heart, I know that every day there are many women living this and out of fear they remain silent. 

'Hopefully this post will help them open their eyes. Life is too short to live unhappy.' 

Pereira did not name her alleged abuser, and did not say when or where exactly the alleged attacks took place.

She also did not say whether the abuse had been reported to the police.

Fans flooded her feed with support, thanking her for sharing her story with them.

Netizen 'Shewandersolo' commented: 'Thank you for being so brave and sharing your story. You are wonderful and perfect.'

'Progressbyexample' added: 'I am happy you made it out alive, thank you for sharing. I hope women see this and realise that true love would never hurt them.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
