The first photo showed Fantine with her hair tied back in a floral updo clad in a lace dress.
As her struggles intensified, the now destitute prostitute had her locks chopped off, with dark shadows surrounding her eyes, sores on her skin and a bloodstained mouth.
Paying tribute to the character and the stellar hair and make-up team, she wrote: 'In honor of Fantines death in last night's episode, here is her progression from beginning to end.
'This has been such a trans-formative experience, literally and figuratively. Thank you again so much to the incredible hair and makeup team headed by the impeccable (Jackie Fowler) and specifically my insanely talented key artist (Rowena Dean).

Viewers were left devastated when Fantine died in the BBC adaptation on Sunday, having already suffered the heartache of giving up her daughter Cosette and cutting off her long hair in a desperate bid to make money.
Stomach-churning scenes also saw Fantine have her two front teeth pulled out to support her daughter.
She was later brutally gang raped by soldiers as she tried to make money for her child.

Her daughter Cosette (played by Ellie Bamber) is eventually rescued by the series protagonist Jean Valjean, played by Dominic West.
It has been adapted by television heavyweight Andrew Davies, who is also well known for his 1995 version of Pride and Prejudice - which starred Colin Firth is his breakout role - and 2016's War and Peace.
The role was famously played by Anne Hathaway in the 2012 film based on the musical, winning her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

Emulate Ellie's look in a leaf print Chanel dress
Ellie Bamber appeared alongside a host of her Les Miserables co-stars at the photocall in London late last year.
Making sure she stood out from the crowd, the actress opted for a leaf print midi dress. Hailing from Chanel's Autumn/Winter '18 collection, the bold print dress features a zip front and even a hood detail.
Perfect for the colder weather, the dark blue and red hues and the leaf-print are fabulously wintry, and if you’re bored of the animal patterns that are dominating the dress scene at the moment, then why not take some inspo from Ellie?
Although you can’t buy her exact look, we have found some great alternatives in the edit below. From Talbot Runhof to & Other Stories, we’ve found a leafy look for everyone.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
