«Breaking News» High school basketball ends in 30-minute BRAWL with boy, 14, being arrested for punching cop

A win for a New York high school basketball team ended in a wild brawl involving some 20 people in a gymnasium.

A concerned parent said 'all hell broke loose' as she described the scene that started in the stands and spilled out onto the court at Wyandanch High School after the sports game ended.

Following their game against Mount Sinai High School, a 14-year-old was arrested on suspicion of punching a law enforcement officer who responded to the incident that reportedly lasted 30 to 40 minutes and was captured on video.

According to cops, he refused to leave the venue and tried to encourage others to stay before resisting arrest.

A girl, 14, was said to have suffered a knee injury and taken to hospital although it was reported she wasn't actually involved in the fight.

In a video provided by Athletic Director Scott Reh from the opposing school, the extent of the carnage can be seen.

A student made the recording. At one point, someone who appears to be a student goes flying into a lit-up 'Home of the Warriors' board.

And in images taken by a Newsday reporter Peter Frutkoff, who was there to cover the game, one youngster is seen on the ground as another person, who appears to be a teacher, tries to break up the huge scuffle.

Wyandanch schools Superintendent Mary Jones said the district was investigating the incident and will 'make recommendations regarding any students who may have been involved and review whether our security plan is sufficient'.

Newsday also said the executive director of the governing body of sports in Suffolk County was to meet with security teams and they may consider moving the games to another site.

Mount Sinai's Reh said his team was not involved. 'The brawl occurred right after the game,' Reh told Newsday. 'According to my coaches, the melee did not involve Mount Sinai players or fans.

'Our coaches did a great job of getting our student-athletes out of the area and to a safe place in an adjacent hallway and locker room. I was told it turned into a hostile environment very quickly.'

Athletic Directors from both schools did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com for comment.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
