«Breaking News» Ex-Georgetown basketball star seen in video 'violently choking and trying to rape 17-year-old girl'

Disturbing surveillance footage allegedly shows ex-Georgetown University basketball star Victor Page attacking a 17-year-old girl last month. 

The 43-year-old is currently being held in a Maryland jail on charges including first and second degree attempted rape  and child sex abuse stemming from the alleged assault on December 30. 

Video of the assault obtained by TMZ shows a man identified as Page restraining the girl outside her home in Camp Springs as she desperately tries to get away. 

She manages to break free from his grip once before he lunges at her and they both fall to the ground, where he lies directly on top of her.  

Neighbors noticed the commotion and called police before rushing to her aid. 

It takes two men and a woman nearly 30 seconds to pry Page off of the girl, who runs away as soon as she can.

According to court documents released earlier this month, Page knocked on the victim's door around 10.30pm on the night before New Year's Eve. 

When she opened the door the 6'3", 200lb athlete threw her on the ground, choked her and tried to rape her, the documents say. 

Citing sources close to the victim, Fox5 reported that she is traumatized and has had difficulty attending school since the alleged attack.  

At the time of the incident, Page was reportedly on parole in connection with an unrelated case.  

Police, the State Attorney's office, and the court commissioner have all refused to discuss the case with media as the investigation is still in its early stages.  

Page has an extensive rap sheet, including previous convictions for assault, indecent exposure and sex offense, according to Maryland court records. There are 18 criminal cases under his name in the state database.  

He is currently facing seven charges from the December 30 arrest and is due to appear in court on February 1.    

Page played with NBA legend Allen Iverson at Georgetown and was a key part of the Hoyas team that made it to the Elite Eight in the 1996 NCAA tourney. 

He led the Big East in scoring in the 1996-1997 season, his second and last with the team.

He went undrafted and was rumored to be in talks with the Minnesota Timberwolves but never made it onto an NBA court.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
