«Breaking News» Czech designer creates 11ft by 6ft house that costs just £8,000

A Czech architect claims to be offering up a solution to high house prices, by offering up a 'DIY home' costing less than £8,000.

The Magenta Tiny House is just 11ft 2in by 6ft 2in, but still fits a sofa bed, heating, a small kitchenette, a water tank and a chemical toilet.

It is designed to be built onto a trailer, meaning owners can create a home wherever the heart is - and there is a road to get there.

Do it yourself: The Magenta Tiny House, created by Czech architect Joshua Woodsman, costs just $9,900 (£7,550) to put together

Plans for the Magenta Tiny House can be bought on Mr Woodsman's website for just $79 (£60).

Prospective owners must then purchase their own materials and put the Tiny House together by themselves.

Mr Woodsman says he estimates material costs at $2,100 (£1,600) and work costs at around $7,800 (£5,950) and the plans taking around three months to assemble.

Mr Woodsman, from Prague, Czech Republic, spent two years working on the designs from devising the idea to putting together the final sketches.

The 31-year-old, whose real name is Vojtech Valda, is trying to spread the 'tiny house movement' all over the world, showcasing the design's cost efficiency, reduced construction time and that they are environmentally friendly.

Mr Woodsman, who is founder and main architect at company Pin-Up Homes, also boasts the property allows owners to spend romantic dinners anywhere in the countryside and believes the home could be a perfect solution for all.

He said: 'Because it's unusual and provocative, it contrasts to the grey minimalistic style of contemporary very modern architecture, with clean interiors without any household equipment, which almost everybody has.

'In comparison to other 'tiny houses', the manoeuvrability is quite fine.

'We were thinking about wind loads mostly. You can ride with magenta in a safe way at speeds of up to 80km per hour.

'My house appeals to those who don't want to fall in debt.'

'Build your own DIY house! It does not even necessarily have to be on wheels.'

It is ...

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
