«Breaking News» Asda releases a special glittery raspberry and rose flavoured gin liqueur for Valentine’s Day

Sending flowers and chocolates on Valentine’s Day might be a traditional way to show someone you love them.

But thanks to Asda, you can now go the extra mile by gifting that special someone a romance-themed gin that’s made using the flower of love itself.

The supermarket chain has released a shimmering gin liqueur which is crafted using raspberry and rose flavours, to get happy couples in the mood on February 14.

The bottle, which is 50cl, has already had £2 knocked off its price and retails at £10. To make things even more exciting, the drink sparkles with edible glitter!

Since it’s a liqueur rather than pure gin, it has an ABV of 20 per cent. Gin normally has an ABV of somewhere between 37.5 per cent and 40 per cent. It can be enjoyed on its own or mixed with your favorite tonic.

Ed Sowerby, spirits product manager at Asda, said: ‘We know gin is as popular as ever with our customers, so we’ve been looking at innovative ways to create new products, at great value prices.

‘This Valentine’s Day, we think we’ve cracked it with this delicious, pink, shimmering gin with added glitter.’

The supermarket giant has also recently unveiled a low-cost Valentine’s Day menu, which costs just £7 for two and includes sirloin steak with peppercorn sauce. It is set to launch on February 12.

The new Valentine’s Day-themed drink comes on the back of Asda’s popular gingerbread gin liqueur, released in September 2018, in the run up to Halloween and Christmas. Like the romantic-themed gin, Asda’s festive tipple was also appropriately coloured and had edible glitter.

As well as the raspberry and rose gin liqueur, Asda is also selling a special pink gin for Valentine's Day, although at £16, it’s a tad more pricey than the liqueur.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
