«Breaking News» AJ Pritchard EXCLUSIVE: SECOND man called in for questioning over nightclub attack

A second man - aged 19 - has been questioned by police over the nightclub attack on Strictly Come Dancing dancer AJ Pritchard and his brother Curtis at Christmastime.

The case has remained cold for weeks after an initial suspect, aged 20, was previously detained and released under investigation.

The second man, from Crewe, voluntarily attended an interview - as AJ, 24, tells MailOnline that he is not letting the lack of an arrest anger him, or make him bitter.

He said: ‘When it comes down to seeing if someone’s been arrested I am just letting [the police] do their job.

‘Both the NHS and police were fantastic to us when it happened. There is just no point in me wasting energy channeling this into anger - I would rather channel it into positivity.

‘Anger is not worth it. That would be them winning.’

A month on from the incident, AJ admitted that it ‘affected me more than I thought it would’.

He went on: ‘It’s a sad situation. It was senseless violence. But I feel better now.

‘It affected me more than I thought it would. But it’s been good to open up about it and highlight a situation that you feel like is never going to happen to you. It’s been helpful to talk about it, like when we went on This Morning.’

AJ is, instead, ‘channeling my energy into my job’.

He said: ‘It’s a new year. I don’t want to reflect on it. Curtis has had surgery - he’s fit and healthy and done a little bit of dancing. He’s had physio to strengthen his muscles.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Constabulary told StokeonTrentLive on Wednesday: 'As part of the investigation a 19-year-man from Crewe voluntarily attended Crewe Police station on Friday, January 25 where he was interviewed under police caution.

'The investigation remains ongoing at this time and officers are currently following a number of lines of inquiry.'

MailOnline has contacted Cheshire Constabulary for comment.

Both AJ and younger brother Curtis, 22, have chosen to defy the thugs that jumped the pair at Nakatcha in the days between Christmas and the New Year.

While Curtis is easing himself back into work, AJ is currently performing on the 2019 Strictly tour and prepping for his first ever solo venture.

Called Get On The Floor!, AJ insisted to MailOnline that there are 'no limits' to his own show - which runs from March 3 - March 12 across the country.

'I want it to be challenging to me, too. I am not an expert in all types of dance. And I will definitely be mixing,' he revealed. 'It's my first tour on my own, so it's nerve-wrecking. But it's amazing to have that creative freedom. And this show is fresh with new young talent.'

The dancer held open auditions last week in London for the show, where he had a mammoth turn out of over 80 men and 80 women. The auditions saw AJ cut down the flurry of hopefuls to just two of each.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
