An elementary school teacher is facing charges after he confessed to stealing a nine-year-old student's violin during lunch.
Authorities said that Kalif Jones, 21, of Stone Mountain, Georgia, confessed to stealing the nine-year-old boy's violin upon learning that the elementary school's security cameras had recorded the alleged theft, according to WSBTV.
The incident was said to have occurred on November 13 at Brockett Elementary School in Tucker, Georgia, the school where Jones taught and the boy is a student.

Jones allegedly took the violin while the boy was eating lunch in the cafeteria at Brockett Elementary School in Tucker, Georgia, (pictured) where Jones taught and the boy is a student
According to the police report, the boy's mother notified school officials that the violin — said to be worth $750 — was stolen.
The school then reviewed its security camera footage, which apparently showed Jones taking the violin, which was in its case, from the cafeteria and walking through the school with it, before eventually leaving the school with it in hand.
Police reviewed the surveillance video and then interviewed Jones at his home, which was when he supposedly confessed to taking the violin because he had recently received a $700 ticket and needed money to pay it off. It is not clear what type of ticket he needed to pay off.
DeKalb County Jail records show that Jones was taken into custody on November 29 and released on a surety bond the next day. He was charged with misdemeanor theft by taking.
The boy's mother told WSBTV that police have since recovered the violin, but that the family is waiting for it to be returned to them.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
