«Breaking News» Shopper dashes to rescue of girl after she gets stuck between escalator handrails at a mall in China

This is the heart-stopping moment a heroic shopper raced to free a six-year-old girl who had become stuck between two escalator handrails.

The youngster can be seen running her hand along the right handrail before her bag suddenly becomes caught in the moving machinery, when at the Kaihong Mall in Zhoushan's Dinghai District in East China's Zhejiang Province.

While one passerby simply stares and continues to walk past the panicking little girl, thankfully shopper Hong Kai rushes down the escalator steps to reach the child.

CCTV camera footage shows a six-year-old girl wandering towards the escalators and putting her hand on one of the rubber handrails

CCTV footage shows Hong, who was shopping with his own child at the time, quickly taking hold of the youngster and yanking her out before safely setting her on her feet.

The girl's mother, surnamed Chen, was shopping for shoes nearby when the incident occured and says she had warned her daughter to stay put.

She added that her family was adamant that Hong, who left the centre shortly after his heroic act, be tracked down and thanked.

Then suddenly she is trapped in the machinery, which lifts her small body up and into the gap between the two devices

A shopper sprints down the steps on the left and comes to her aid in a matter of seconds

'I told my daughter not to go anywhere on her own, but she went and got her hand stuck on the escalator,' Chen said.

She added: 'My family and I, we couldn't sleep until we found the Good Samaritan who saved her.'

The parent met up with Hong the next day and gifted him a bouquet of flowers, along with a cash reward, which he refused to accept.

The video shows him plucking her out of the gap and handing her over to her terrified mother moments later

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
