«Breaking News» Paul Massey 'was seen on CCTV buying Bacardi and cola minutes before he was shot dead'

The final moments of Salford 'Mr Big' Paul Massey were captured on CCTV minutes before he was gunned down outside of his home.

The 55-year-old is seen walking into a Bargain Booze on Bolton Road in Pendlebury at 7.23pm on July 26, 2015.

CCTV footage shown at  Liverpool Crown Court shows Mr Massey purchasing a bottle of Bacardi and two litre bottles of coke before driving off in his silver 5 series BMW.

Minutes later the father-of-five was shot dead in a hail of gunfire outside of his home by a man wielding a sub-machine gun and wearing combat gear.

Mr Massey was forced to dive behind bins for cover as the gunman followed him up the drive at his home on Manchester Road in Clifton, Salford.

The assassin fired 18 rounds at Mr Massey who suffered 'catastrophic' injuries from the bullets, with one piercing his heart, a jury heard.

The alleged gunman, Mark Fellows, 38, from Warrington, and his alleged 'spotter' Steven Boyle, 36, from Heywood, deny murder.

The two men also deny murdering Mr Massey's 'gangland' enforcer' and pallbearer at his funeral John Kinsella, 53, from Liverpool, and his partner Wendy Owen.

Kinsella had been a mob fixer who once stopped a gangster terrorising former Liverpool FC footballer Steven Gerrard.

He was sprayed with bullets while walking his dogs with Ms Owen in Merseyside on May 5.

Both victims were said to have a 'serious criminal history'.

The court heard how Mr Massey was involved in a gang known as the A Team in Salford which had been in conflict with a rival splinter group.

Mr Massey was 'well-known' in the shop and asked for his 'usual', spending about 50 seconds in the store, the court has previously been told.

He is seen in the footage walking out with his purchases in a carrier bag.

Sending the jury home for Christmas, the judge Mr Justice Davis told the jurors to return on January 4 when they will hear the closing arguments of the prosecution and defence barristers before he then reviews the case for them.

'Then it will be your job to reach verdicts,' he said.

The judge went on that between now and January 4 they will have Christmas and New Year but he urged them to try not to think about the case too much.

'If I were to say to you don't think at all about what you have been listening to over the last three or four weeks I would be whistling in the wind because this is a really important case and a really important job.

'You are bound to turn it over in your mind. I understand you are bound to be thinking about it but please try to avoid doing it all the time,' said the judge.

Judge Mr Davis told jurors they will hear the closing arguments of the prosecution and deference barristers on January 4.

The trial continues.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
