«Breaking News» Man decorates his house in homage to National Lampoons

A Ohio man will be a having a very Griswold Christmas this year, for the sixth season running, after spending months decorating his home in homage to National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Greg Osterland, 37, started transforming his home in October, helped by family and friends, to make sure it looks almost exactly the same as the Griswold's house in the movie.

Osterland's love for the film started after its release in 1989 and has continued through his marriage to his wife Rachel.

The couple are such big fans of the movie they went house hunting with the requirement whatever they bought must suit Griswold-inspired decor.

'It got to the point where we knew it too well,' Osterland told 'Good Morning America.'

Like the house in the film, the Osterland's home features 25,000 lights, 250 strands of lights with 100 bulbs, covering the house in its entirety.

Step inside and you'll find even more nods to scenes in the film.

There's Aunt Bethany's Jello mold, an oversized tree, a faux squirrel and much more.

The Osterland family also enjoy getting dressed up as the Griswolds. Osterland's 3-year-old son Lucas opted for a Cousin Eddie costume this year.

With the couple expecting a baby girl, Osterland joked they have considered the name Audrey after the Griswold's daughter.

Optional donations are accepted which will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation's Great Strides Walk, due to be held in Ohio in May.

Osterland, who was diagnosed with the condition when he was 6, is determined to help find a cure while putting a festive smile on people's faces through the decorations, which span all 360 degrees of the house.

'We love seeing the faces of the people that come see it and we raise a lot of money for a great cause,' Osterland said.

Inside the home there's more Griswold related decorations, Aunt Bethany's Jello mold, an oversized tree, a faux squirrel and much more

In the film, the third in the 'Vacation' franchise, the Griswold family's plans for a big family Christmas predictably turn into a big disaster.

In one scene, Clark Griswold covers his house with 25,000 lights which fail to work at first, as he has accidentally wired them through his garage's light switch. When they finally come on, they temporarily cause a citywide power shortage.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
