A Lego-obsessed family have built an incredible eight-foot-tall Christmas advent calendar made of 450,000 multi-coloured bricks for the festive season.
The towering 24-window calendar built by Mike Addis, 60, and wife Catherine Weightman, 55, from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, is carefully crafted with the finest of details and nearly reaches the ceiling of the couple's living room.
Mr Addis estimates he and his wife spent around five hours a day and a total of 235 hours to complete the festive masterpiece.

Behind each numbered window of the gigantic advent calendar lies a carefully thought out Christmas themed scene made from Lego
A closer look at the unique calendar displays numbered windows, each of which reveal a painstakingly constructed and carefully thought out scene about the size of a shoe box.
In one section a roast goose lies on a table while in another tiny stockings hang by a roaring fire in a kitchen.
Incredible details also include a miniature Lego version of Vermeer's famous painting Girl with a Pearl Earring, sitting above the mantelpiece.

This is not the first time the couple have created a Christmas masterpiece. For the past 25 years the pair have been building Lego constructions for Christmas
Behind one window beautifully crafted snowmen can be seen in front of white backdrop while behind another tall trees can be seen in a snowy climate
Behind another door, Lego elves can be seen busily loading presents onto Santa's sleigh while in another the three wise men appear with their offerings of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
A look behind window four shows a Lego Christmas pudding and mince pies while another scene shows a painting of Saint Nicholas above the fireplace.
The spectacle is the biggest Lego sculpture the husband and wife have ever built in their family home over the last 26 years.
In the past, the couple have built a five-storey Victorian dollhouse, Christmas-themed Daleks, a polar bear, Olympic mascots, angels and a cathedral - costing them almost £50,000.

In a fitting tribute to the nativity, behind door number eight of Mr Addis and Mrs Weightman's Lego masterpiece is a carefully constructed angel and shepherd
Behind door number nine are snowy white trees and a fox. Other scenes inside the calendar also display a ginger bread house, soldiers, and Santa Claus himself
They continued their annual Christmas tradition after their three now grown-up children became 'too embarrassed' to join in.
Other scenes inside the calendar include Christmas dinners, ginger bread houses, a snowman, soldiers, and Santa Claus himself.
The couple have also for the first time this year raised £4,000 for environmental charities by running Lego competitions and making a giant 3D Lego map of the Great Fen nature reserve project.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
