JoJo has delighted her fans by releasing popular songs from her re-recorded first two albums.
The singer, 28 - who had been locked in a fierce seven year legal battle against her former label Blackground Records until her contract was finally freed in 2014 - couldn't contain her pride on Instagram as she 'reclaimed her time and history'.
After her tumultuous time in the industry following her rise to fame at the age of 13 with the tune Leave, Get Out, the American singer, was awash with emotion as she vowed to enter 2019 with 'lightness and space.'
Nostalgic: JoJo, 28, who had been locked in a seven year legal battle against her former label Blackground Records until her contract was finally freed in 2014, has re-recorded her first two albums
JoJo, real name, Joanna Noëlle Levesque, became the youngest star to have a No 1 single on the Hot 100 charts with her song Leave (Get Out) at the age of 13.
The talented star released two more albums and was poised for stardom, but her career ground to a halt when she became embroiled in a seven-year contract dispute with her label Blackground Records, who she signed with at age 12.
And nearly five years after the legal battle came to an end, JoJo finally closed the door behind her after re-recording and releasing her first two albums.
Proving completely awestruck by the support she received, the Too Little Too Late hitmaker uploaded a clip of her in the recording studio on Instagram, alongside a lengthy, gushing caption.
'Wow. Your response to me re-recording my first two albums has taken my breath away. I’ve tried to read through literally every single comment!!! You guys are making me sooooo emo!!!!

'What the hellllllll, to see an album I first made at 12 and another at 15 at the top of the iTunes album charts is just CRAZY. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if it was a good idea (and my team checked allllll the legalities to see that it would be ok!!) but I was SO SICK of seeing my fans day in and day out ask me where my old s*** was.
Not being able to give them what they deserve made me so mad. I’ve felt out of control for so long, and I WAS F***ING TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIED. I couldn’t stand for it. This is for my day 1s. This is for the amazing creatives who shaped these songs with me (and so they can finally collect the publishing that is rightfully theirs!).
'And this is for me. For healing. Reclaiming my time and my history. I am currently making the best music of my life for this new album. And I wanted to make sure that I saged myself so I could enter 2019 with lightness and space to be TOTALLY FREE.

'Getting this project off my chest feels SO GOOD and it means the world to me seeing you living with it/ loving it/ sharing it/ supporting it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. NEW MUSIC 2019. Love, Jo,' she concluded.
During the bitter legal battle, JoJo claimed she was being held hostage by the label because she was not allowed to leave or release new music commercially.
The dispute led to her fans taking up a #FreeJoJo campaign on social media at the time.
JoJo went on to win the legal fight, was eventually released from her contract and signed with Atlantic Records in January 2014.

However, last year, JoJo proved she was still affected from the situation, as she tweeted: 'My former label removed my music, I unfortunately have absolutely no control over what they do or don’t do…I want to let bygones be bygones. I pray one day they put my music back up.'
In 2016, the star released her third studio album, Mad Love, and is currently signed to Interscope.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
