An ex-soldier won a £30,000 payout after being put into a coma to fight infections she blames on the hotel buffet food from a resort in Mexico.
Leanne Maguire was on a two week £3,500 break in Cancun, Mexico when she began to feel ill on the third day of her two-week holiday, and was bed-ridden for the rest of the break.
When the mother- who has a 15-year-old son called Rhys- returned home she was diagnosed with viral gastroenteritis caused by food poisoning.
Her condition worsened and she was rushed into intensive care and put in a medically induced coma.

The 37-year-old, who stayed at the Temptation Cancun Resort in August 2013, told The Mirror: 'I could not grasp how a bout of food poisoning led me to death's door.
'Then I realised how nasty this condition can be.
'I lost more than 5st in weight and lots of my hair due to malnutrition.
'Also I had to take half a year off work and needed counselling to get my life back on track.
'I looked so different that I found it difficult to accept myself.'

After her lengthy stay in hospital, she launched a case against Thomas Cook for compensation in December 2013, claiming the hotel food caused her illness.
The 37-year-old from Runcorn, in Cheshire, was set to go to court in October this year.
But a settlement arrived days prior to the start of the case.
Leanne said she was 'delighted' to put 'five years of hell' behind her.
Thomas Cook said: 'Customer well-being is always our priority.
'We're very sorry Ms Maguire was ill at the resort.
'This was a complex case. Medical evidence and time were needed to determine the appropriate level of damages.'

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.
Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
