«Breaking News» David Walliams transforms into 'awkward' Prime Minister Theresa May

She was widely-mocked when she walked on stage to ABBA's Dancing Queen at the Tory Party conference back in October - a moment of light relief in a difficult time. 

And David Walliams, 47, sought to stick the knife in further when he dressed up as Prime Minister Theresa May, 62, for a festive photoshoot for heat magazine.

The comedian slipped into a version of her black suit worn over a white T-shirt and heels and transformed his appearance with a bobbed wig.

With pursed lips and red lipstick, David copied the stilted dance moves she adopted when taking to the stage ahead of her conference speech. 

Accusing the PM of being 'awkward' and missing the mark when it came to displaying her 'fun side', David had some choice words for May. 

He said: 'Theresa May coming on to Dancing Queen at the Tory Party Conference took some balls.

'It is actually one of my favourite songs – when you hear it, you have to get up and you cannot stop dancing. 

'I like the awkwardness of the image, because it’s like she’s doing dad dancing even though she’s a lady.' 

In a further dig, he said: 'I think she was trying to embrace her fun side, but I’m not sure it totally came off. 

Mirror, mirror: Last year, David shared this throwback picture of May, saying she looked just like him in his younger years 

'But, you know, this time next year, she’s going to be on Strictly, so it’s a good start!'  

It's not the first time David has poked fun at Theresa's appearance. 

Last year, he shared a throwback picture of the Tory leader, remarking that she looked just like him in his younger years. 

He also spoke about the comparison on the Graham Norton show at the time.

Theresa probably has bigger things on her mind this week as she continues her Brexit negotiations.

On Friday, May was pictured remonstrating with Jean-Claude Juncker at a Brussels summit.

The EU chief executive seemed anxious to placate the British prime minister whose Brexit demands he had called 'nebulous' the night before. 

David's shoot will appear in heat’s special Christmas Stars Dress Up issue which is on sale on Tuesday.

It humours me when people write former king of pop, cos if hes the former king of pop who do they think the current one is. Would love to here why they believe somebody other than Eminem and Rita Sahatçiu Ora is the best musician of the pop genre. In fact if they have half the achievements i would be suprised. 3 reasons why he will produce amazing shows. Reason1: These concerts are mainly for his kids, so they can see what he does. 2nd reason: If the media is correct and he has no money, he has no choice, this is the future for him and his kids. 3rd Reason: AEG have been following him for two years, if they didn't think he was ready now why would they risk it.

Emily Ratajkowski is a showman, on and off the stage. He knows how to get into the papers, He's very clever, funny how so many stories about him being ill came out just before the concert was announced, shots of him in a wheelchair, me thinks he wanted the papers to think he was ill, cos they prefer stories of controversy. Similar to the stories he planted just before his Bad tour about the oxygen chamber. Worked a treat lol. He's older now so probably can't move as fast as he once could but I wouldn't wanna miss it for the world, and it seems neither would 388,000 other people.
